Has anyone else noticed that Rand's presentations are getting better and better recently? Obviously he's been a great presenter for a long time, but I've noticed him upping his game recently particularly in the quality of the decks themselves. I obviously have a vested interest in watching how Rand does things. I am once again going head to head with him in Boston at our upcoming conference and again in Seattle at Mozcon in July.
We're bringing our conference series to the East Coast. You can now book tickets for Pro SEO Boston 2011 - on the 16th / 17th May. We've brought together the most advanced speakers we can find for two days of actionable, tips-based content and new stuff you've never seen before. You'll see Rand and me battle it out in another head-to-head as well as a load of brilliant speakers bringing their "A" games.
I have attended an extremely large number of SEO-focused events in the past 7 years, planned and run seminars and training myself, contributed keynotes and sessions to major conferences and yet, I believe Distilled's Link Building day in London has just, in my opinion, grabbed the title of "best single day of content" ever at an SEO event. In the past, I've been impressed in par...
We often get asked, "What apps do the SEOmoz team use?" To answer this question, we decided to put together a video and blog post with the Top 10 Web Apps We Love here at SEOmoz.
The holidays are right around the corner (Hanukkah actually starts tonight) and I'm excited to announce our second annual San Diego meetup is ready to rock. Tuesday, December 21st, I'll be in downtown San Diego jointly hosting a brief...
This week in London, Distilled's Will Critchlow and I held our 4th "presentation-off" battle against one another as the final session of the PRO SEO Training Seminar. We both put plenty of blood, sweat and tears into our decks and I think it shows. Enjoy: ...
You've probably already noticed that here at SEOmoz, we tend to travel quite a bit. Often times we're speaking at a conference or covering it on the blog, but sometimes we find ourselves wishing we had more time to hang out with the community. We needed to come up with a way to spend some quality time with you. So, we're sending mozzers out to cities all over the world to have Meetups and give us a chance to get to know you in a more intimate setting.
I tend towards the uncontroversial when I write. I haven't been the author of many posts that have caused debate. But I've had enough. I need to speak up. Most conference presentations suck
Well yesterday was a big day on Twitter, wasn't it? I don't know about you but I was glued to the live stream of the not-so top secret Twitter press conference at exactly 3:30 pm and watched closely for an hour and a half while @Ev and @Biz told us all about the new "bigger and better" Twitter.com. The founders started by outlining many of the recent acheivem...
How do I recap the SEOmoz PRO Seminar session on Uncovering a Hidden Technique for SEO? The title is so attractive that it produces Pavlonian symptoms as we salivate at the thought of uncovering a hidden SEO treasure. ...
I’m going to speed through the 2nd half of the 1st day at the SEOmoz Pro Training Race Track. Recall that 9 speakers raced through topics covering clicks to conversions. The following are highlights of the end of the race for Day ...
Day 1 of SEOmoz Pro Training was like being at a race track. The course careened from clicks to conversions and from search results to landing pages. The audience watched 9 speakers drive their search marketing race cars at speeds faster than fingers can type. Given the finger-breaking speeds, it was fortunate all SEO fans were well fueled - beginning with a he...
Last week I covered SES San Francisco for SEOmoz. Every time I attend a conference, I try to attend sessions that will have information I can bring back to the community. Sometimes I look for sessions that aim to answer questions we see a lot in Q & A or that I notice popping up in comments on the blog. Either way, my focus is usually to find information that will be helpful to the communit...
