Getting my crunchbase page to rank in au search engines

Hi, what can I do to make google think this is an Australian page?

Link to it from .com.au domains?
Put my address in on the page as Australia?Is there any other ofpage things that could be done?
I would like it to rank for "Digital Signage"

Hi Adam,
As Pete says, I think you're likely to face an uphill climb with this one. Building links to the page may help, but you're fighting against a US-centric domain, and a powerful one at that.
Just out of interest, what are you trying to get this page to rank for?

Honestly, it's going to be really tough. Since CrunchBase is a US-based site and has massive cues (like the link profile) indicating that, I'm not sure you can get Google to see that a single profile page is international. You can target a whole sub-directory of your own site, but I've never seen someone to get a single directory listing to be recognized as being from a different international location. I'll run it by an international SEO and see, but I suspect this is an uphill climb.
Why are you trying to get a profile page ranking instead of your own site?

Thanks for coming to Q&A to ask your question. I'm the SEOmoz Local SEO associate, but I'm actually going to ask one of our traditional SEOs to step in with a reply. It looks to me as if you are offering a virtual service, so this is not, per se, a Local SEO question.
On a side note, one thing I did notice is that I see no physical Australian address in the footer of your website. That would certainly be a place to start. Please hang in there while I ask some of our other mods to help.

Backlinks on Moz not on Google Search Console
Moz is showing thousands of backlinks to my site that are not showing up on Google Search Console - which is good because those links were created by some spammer in Pakistan somewhere. I haven't yet submitted a disavow report to Google of well over 10K links because the list keeps growing every day with new backlinks that have been rerouted to a 404 page. I have asked Google to clarify and they put my question on their forum for an answer, which I'm still waiting for - so I thought I'd try my luck here. My question... If Moz does not match Google Search Console, and backlinks are important to results, how valid is the ranking that Moz creates to let me know how I'm doing in this competition and if I'm improving or not. If the goal is to get Google to pay attention and I use Moz to help me figure out how to do this, how can I do that if the backlink information isn't the same - by literally over 10 000 backlinks created by some spammer doing odd things... They've included the url from their deleted profile on my site with 100s of other urls, including Moz.com and are posting them everywhere with their preferred anchor text. Moz ranking considers the thousands of spam backlinks I can't get rid of and Google ignores them or disavows them. So isn't the rankings, data, and graphs apples and bananas? Backlinks from subdomain, can it hurt ranking?
I just started doing an SEO audit and noticed I have 40,000 some odd back links from an OLD version of our site that has been moved to a subdomain. The back links are for articles that already exist on our main site. I don't think Google is picking it up as duplicate content because that site isn't being crawled anymore. Could this hurt us SEO wise? I plan on removing the site, but how long after it's been removed should those back links disappear?

How to get rid of ezinearticles links etc?
I know the standard answer of email all the sites but, I dont like my chances of even getting any delisted..

Have around 260 links with about 60% of them junk.
Some links are from sig links on forums that I actually legitimately post to and from real comments I have made on the web over the years. Should all of these go? Was thinking of hiring a freelancer to do this or maybe going through an online tool if anyone has any suggestions? Why is my homepage ranking BELOW a subpage?
Search "peer to peer lending". The page http://www.ratesetter.com/peer_to_peer_lending.htm appears higher than the homepage. I don't think this is because of keyword density on page either as Zopa (competitor) have zero mentions of this keyword on their homepage. What are your suggestions for getting the homepage ranked higher? Thanks, Simon.

What are your favorite tactics for getting links to money-pages?
We've got content marketing and other great tactics for getting links to content pages, but what are your favorite tactics for getting links to your money pages (i.e. product pages, landing pages, devices pages, sales letters, etc.) For example: For certain sites (especially some ecommerce sites), one can get a few backlinks by doing giveaways, contests, or events Some sites can give their product to bloggers to review If you're selling an exciting product and/or a product that appeals to a passionate user base, such tactics can work great. There are some sites that such tactics won't work very well for, though. For example, if you sell a boring or highly specialized product that bloggers won't want to review or giveaway as a contest prize - such as valves used in a specific commercial application, or an expensive B2B product that you can't really giveaway. Creativity is of course important, but sometimes it can only take you so far. What are your favorite strategies for getting quality backlinks to your "money pages" especially for sites that don't fit into the "ecommerce site selling cool stuff" category?
