          Hello guys,

I´ve done a infografic and i want to share it with some bloggers. But, i want to share an iframe, not an image (beacuse there is some links on it).

My question: Can Google consider the links inside an iframe (for link building)?

          Thank you 🙂

            Hi Rogerio,

mememax is correct in that the content won't be counted the way you're hoping. You can use an iframe embed code with a link outside of it, however:

            <iframe></iframe>

            Built by Brand Name.

This will not count the links inside of the iframe, however, but it's another option if you're trying to embed dynamic content of some kind.

                i see...

"is better to have a link editorially done than embedded in the infographic" that´s a good point.

Actually, my content is not a infographic ahahah. That´s why websites could not reply it. I only used "infographic" as example beacuse the point was if Googlebot identify iframe content or do not.

I would say that my idea is very ambitious and i haven´t seen nobody doing it before. It doesn´t mean that it´s the best linkbuilding ideia because i don´t know the results, but if you want to talk about it, i´ll be very glad to tell you on linkedin...

Yes the last one is the way I'm actually doing this. In that way if someone republish the image you'll be sure that your links will be maintained if those links are useful for the fruition of your work.

What I didn't understand is that if the links are useful to use the infographic or if you want to be sure that people republishing your infographic will be giving you the links you want.

In that last case you want be able to achieve that easily because people may save the image and republish it however they want. But normally if someone finds your infographic useful they will put a link to the site where they found it (it's quite ethical) and that's what you want because links hidden in the infographic won't have this "editorial" value which google is looking for, said in other words is better to have a link editorially done than have plenty of them embedded in the infographic. At least IMO.

                      Thank you for answering Mememax

"Why not brake the image and build it as a table and link each portion of it to the url you want?" That´s the point. I would not like to use this way because the bloggers could indentify/change my strategy. That´s why i would prefer a iframe code instead of a html code.

But that´s ok. I´ll have to use html anyway =/

"Or simply you can put a tinier version of that infographic and if someone wants to see full image they need to reach your site where they'll find all the links. Hope this may help!"
That is interesting. In this case, it´s not viable. But i can apply it in anothers strategies. Do you use it?

Well Google can index the iframe but not as Rogerio would like to.

Google can see the src link pointing to the infographic page sowhen following that google will index the content contained in the iframe but don't count with such kind of links as being valuable for you.

What I don't understand is that you want to use the iframe instead of the image because you got links in it. Why not brake the image and build it as a table and link each portion of it to the url you want? Use flash and embed the links? Or map the image to indicate zones where the links should be? I think there are more frendlier ways to put links without recurring to the iframe to have links in your infographic.

Or simply you can put a tinier version of that infographic and if someone wants to see full image they need to reach your site where they'll find all the links. Hope this may help!

                          Hi Rogerio,

Currently, Googlebot cannot crawl or index the content within an iframe. If your intent is to use your infographic for link-building purposes it is going to need to be a page or graphic. Hope that helps!

                          Dana

Why MOZ just index some of the links?

                            crawl indexing

hello everyone i've been using moz pro for a while and found a lot of backlink oppertunites as checking my competitor's backlink profile.
i'm doing the same way as my competitors but moz does not see and index lots of them, maybe just index 10% of them. though my backlinks are commenly from sites with +80 and +90 DA like Github, Pinterest, Tripadvisor and .... and the strange point is that 10% are almost from EDU sites with high DA. i go to EDU sites and place a comment and in lots of case, MOZ index them in just 2-3 days!! with maybe just 10 links like this, my DA is incresead from 15 to 19 in less than one month! so, how does this "SEO TOOL" work?? is there anyway to force it to crawl a page?

Other websites copy content and giving a link back

Hi, I've just noticed a few back links in Google Search Console, I was excited. But when I saw the backlinks, 2 other websites that had completely copied my content and then gave a backlink to my website. Is this bad for SEO and would google penalise my website for this?

Does iframe itself count as a backlink?

Our situation is similar to YouTube. We have an original content on every subpage that is genuinely useful when embedded as a widget on 3r party websites. That is why we offer an embeddable widget that shows slightly simplified version of the content - exactly like a YouTube video embedded on your blog. The embed code is simply an iframe sourcing from our subpage: <iframe src="wikibudgets.org/subpage"></p> </blockquote> <p>1/ Does the iframe itself pass any link value at all to the subpage?</p> <p>2/ If yes, what would be the equivalent of anchor text in iframe?</p> <p>3/ If not, will any link in the subpage pass link value from the 3rd party website to my domain/subpage?</p> <p>4/ If not, will I be punished/rewarded if I ask users to put a visible, unobfuscated link to the subpage below the iframe?</p> <blockquote style="background: #f7f7f7; padding-top: 5px; margin-left: 0px; padding-left: 2px; padding-bottom: 5px; white-space: nowrap; overflow-y: auto; font-family: monospace;"> <p><iframe src="wikibudgets.org/subpage" /><a href="wikibudgets.org/subpage">rich anchor text</a></p> </blockquote></iframe>

                            Iframes vs links

Obviously, websites can link to another web site using iframes, and Google and other search engines do seem to have some capability to index the content. What I want to know is what is the difference in value passed between a regular link and an iframe link. <iframe src="http://www.targetwebsite.com/targetlink"><br /><br />will have the same page ranking effect on the target web site as this link: <br /><br /><a href="http://www.targetwebsite.com/targetlink">link</a><br /><br />Alternative, would it work to include an invisible actual link right before the iframe, like this: <br /><br /><a style="display: none;" href="http://www.targetwebsite.com/targetlink">link</a><br /><iframe src="http://www.targetwebsite.com/targetlink"/></p> <p><span style="color: #5e5e5e;">The reason is that we are building a product recommendation engine, for a branded cosmetology school in order to get our concept salons to link back to use and I was curious if creating a version they can use as an iframe will give us link benefit.</span></p></iframe>

Backlink booster - boosts and helps to index links?

Hello all, We are using a tool called backlink booster that works in the following way: you view a page with a backlink to your site click on a boost link saved in favourites the link is pinged to rss directories and web 2.0 sites The idea is to get your links indexed faster. Has anyone used this or something like this and had any benefit from it? Thanks Shehzad.

Index.php OR .php - Which is better for urls

I was wondering.  When I build links should I build them using "index.php" OR ".php" at the end?  Does one have any more value than the other from an SEO standpoint Example: www.mywebsite.com\hotdogs\index.php or www.mywebsite.com\hotdogs.php

How does Google interpret articles or prepositions in languages where it's attached to the (key)word?

Hi, All! This is for any foreign language SEOs where articles or prepostitions such as "the" "to" "in" or anything else are actually part of the word they are modifying and not a separate word, as in English: How does Google understand those words on-page and in anchor text?  If you want to optimize for the word "house", and your content/anchor text says "the house" or "in the house" (again, all one word) - what does Google count that as?  Does it count toward "house"?  Does it count toward "in the house" only?  Does it count toward "house" but not as much as if you had just put "house"? I end up sometimes writing slightly grammatically-off content because I want to optimize for the keyphrase - but is that necessary? Obviously different languages might be different, but you can probably project a little from one to the others. Thanks in advance!
