Backlinks From Scraper Sites - Should I Disavow Them?
-

I'm going through all the links (hopefully) to my website and I've found so many links from site scrapers. For instance: http://www.fzccg.com/cmsteam/dvbbs/boke.asp?zkhod76681.showtopic.148760.html ... which links to my site with anchor text "abercrombie uk How To Change Your Wiper Blades" It is surely not realistic to think that I can contact all the scraper site owners. So what should I do with this kind of links?
-

Personally, I wouldnt. Scrapers have been around for years and it's "natural" in my eyes. all the good sites out there, even moz, have thousands upon thousands of scraper sites linking to them. I it's about penguin, then id look into the other links deeper. For client work I do, I just disavow them if the DA of the site is below 30. LOL.

I typically tell people not to worry about these types of sites. EVERYONE gets a little spam linkage, and it's rarely worth worrying about. If you have been hit with a manual penalty or think you're being impacted by Penguin already, then yes, definitely include these domains in the disavow list. Technically Google wants you to try to have the links removed first.

If a link is not beneficial to your site and if you are worried about whether or not it will hurt you, there is no reason you shouldn't disavow that link. I would recommend that you are disavowing the entire domain rather than each link one by one. It will save you time and will prevent any further weirdness from happening on that specific domain. Disavowing links can be tedious and annoying, but the whole concept of "better safe than sorry" comes into play here hardcore. An intern would be extremely useful in this situation.

I meant "will be reviewed manually"

Well here's the issue: my site has a penguin penalty so it means my link profile will be reviewed.

One of my site has a million of these links. No kidding. I had nothing to do with these links. They are simply gifts from blackhats. The site is very healthy, has kickass rankings, does not have any penguin or unnatural links problems, so I am doing nothing about those links.

How much time does it takes for a backlink to get registered in Google? My basketball anime website has been live since start of this week and Google has not registered any backlink.
So my website https://www.animedhfa.com/basketball-anime/ about basketball Anime has shown no changes in DA or backlinks. It has been 5 days perhaps since it went live. Link Building | | ahmad74750

		Hidden Backlinks
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. We have a competitor who appears to be ranking No1 for a competitive search term with a very lame site and above some authoritative sites. He has been here for some time as well. When we check out his back link profile through OSE, Majestic and Ahrefs they show as only 3 backlinks from no PR sites. However, someone pointed out that they could be using a link network that is blocking every crawler apart from Google, Yahoo and BIng. I would like to know if there is a way to confirm this. For instance I know that we can use screaming frog to mimic Googlebot, however, if there a way to reveal the real backlinks to a site like this using any tools. Thanks Link Building | | kirstyseo0

		PR1 and PR2 backlinks
We're doing some content marketing. I've heard that it is a good idea to target even PR1 and PR2 sites (small DA sites). I'm concerned about these sites disappearing after a few months, as we've found that losing a backlink can sting a bit and be worse than never having it. Though this isn't as big a deal any more. Anyways, can somebody say when a PR1/PR2 backlink would be appropriate to go after? Some of them would be easy and if it's appropriate I'd like to include them. So far they would only pass our standards if they are Above PR0 Look like a white hat, quality site from the outside Have a clean backlink profile Look like they're going to stick around Successful Social Media Accounts a plus What are you guys' criteria for including these sites? Do you gain value from them? Link Building | | BobGW0

Web Designers and SEOs using backlinks from client sites
What are your thoughts on SEOs and web designers putting their own links in the footers of client sites. For the sake of argument, lets assume that the client is happy for the link to be there. I'm referring to the SEO merits of the link being there from an 'irrelevant' website. My belief is that this goes against what Google is looking for and that these are irrelevant links and likely to be picked up and penalised. That's what I believe! However, I see lots of sites offering SEO services that have dofollow links from their client sites, using exact match anchor text and they are all ranking highly. Is it just a matter of time before Google sniffs them out and penalises them for it? Or should I be going through my client sites and adding myself a dofollow link in the footer? (with their permission of course). The highest ranking sites in any UK city do this. If you search SEO Manchester, SEO Leeds etc and find the top ranking sites and check them out on opensite explorer, they are all using a disproportionate amount of dofollow backlinks form client sites.
