Page rank check

Hello everyone,
How long should I wait to see if page rank for optimized pages have improved?
cheers

I also am interested in this.
We have recently 'improved' the on page optimisation for the following keyword ''edited'' on the following page:
''edited''
I just checked when the page was last crawled by google by checking the cache date which is the 27th of May 201?.
We have been tracking the keyword ''edited'' with the moz keyword ranking tool for the last little while and we've seen no real improvement, in fact we've dropped back a bit in the SERPs to ''edited''.
does anyone have any advice?

Thank you very much guys, and I will keep an eye on the cached page and see when google crawls it again.
Cheers
Oscar

Wait till Google crawls your page again. You will know when this is by checking the date on the cached version of the page, which you can find by doing a search for the URL of the page you are interested in, then clicking on the little green down arrow next to the URL in the search result.

In that case, it certainly can change over night but usually, with a new page or a page with that doesn't get much traffic it can take a month or more. It is often the case that the home page will be re-indexed more often than other, less trafficked pages on your site, so don't expect that when you see one page updated in the results that the other ones are right behind it.

Hello there,
Thanks for your answer. But I think I explained myself badly
sorry about that, my English needs more improvement as my SEO skills.
Anyway, what I was talking about position on SERP not page rank. I am changing the title tags making them more relevant for people and also to better describe the content on the pages and that should improve the position on Google SERP but I don't think it changes overnight, does it?
Cheers

Hi Premio,
Typically, your pagerank won't change as a result of on-page SEO. Increases in pagerank are typically due to back links and other offsite factors and changes in PR due to those factors may take many months to impact your tool bar pagerank. But don't focus or Pagerank--focus on creating content and on reaching out to your audience with content that is shareable and helps them make their buying decisions.

How can a page rank for keywords that it does not have on it?
I have a client that is ranking in the top 10 for several keywords on their homepage. Their site has no purposeful SEO in it, there is barely any text on the homepage at all and none of the text are the keywords it is ranking for.

Does anyone know of a tool where you can get all of the keyword that any given landing page is ranking for?
I'd like to find out what landing pages are ranking for which keywords, but I haven't been able to find a tool that does it. I was hoping there would be something where I could submit the url and get a list of every keyword it is ranking for. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

Home page or landing page?
Hello, I want to ask a question related to that - Should we put keywords in the home page title if we wish to position another landing page better for particular keywords? I have read in one website about SEO that it's good the main keywords of your website to be positioned in homepage title also. f.e. Let's say we have website about web-design and our company is named Company Ltd. The title of the home page is "Company Ltd. - Web design, SEO, etc" We have also another inner page named "Web design | Company Ltd.". So should we leave the first page name only "Company Ltd." and the landing page's name "Web design | Company Ltd." . I don't know if they both have the same keyword in their title they won't compete with each other.

Splash page - is it possible to rank well?
Hi there, I have a website with splash page - http://veda4.com/ . It's trully cool looking, the owner of our company wants the home page to be this way. But is it ok from SEO viewpoint? Can it rank well for keywords. All my SEO strategy were not using splash pages and I am not sure what should I change so it work with splash page also. I myself won't choose splash page but my boss trully liked it.

URL for location pages
Hello all We would like to create clean, easy URLs for our large list of Location pages. If there are a few URLs for each of the pages, am I right when I'm saying we would like this to be the canonical? Right now we would like the URL to be: For example
On-Page Optimization | | Ferguson
Domain.com/locations/Columbus I have found some instances where there might be 2,3 or more locations in the same city, zip. My conclusion for these would be: adding their Branch id's on to the URL
Domain.com/locations/Columbus/0304 Is this an okay approach? We are unsure if the URL should have city,State, zip for SEO purposes?
The pages will have all of this info in it's content
BUT what would be best for SEO and ranking for a given location? Thank you for any info!0 -
Does a page's url have any weight in Google rankings?
I'm sure this question must have been asked before but I can't find it. I'm assuming that the title tag is far more important than the page's url. Is that correct? Does the url have any relevance to Google?
