SEO-impact of mouseover text on header pictures

Hi, what do you reckon of taking away the mouseover effect on the header pictures seen on www.viventura.de/reisen/peru?
We are thinking of eliminating the mouseover text to make User Experience even better but are worrying that our ranking might go down when doing so. Any experiences, any help is highly appreciated!
 Thanks,Benno

Hi Chris, thanks a lot for your helpful answer! This helped a lot. May I ask, as a followup-question what you think about having slideshows in the header, as seen on http://www.viventura.de/gruppenreisen/t/viyoung?
Besides the fact that here the text keeps annoyingly disappearing on image change (certainly not good): do you have any opinion on pro and cons of image slideshows in header pictures? Thanks again and many greetings from Germany!

Viventura, I'm not a Spanish speaker but I will assume that the text that shows up in the mouseover is highly relevant, informative, and well-written. If so, eliminating that mouseover is likely to have an impact unless you use the text somewhere else on the page (like underneath the header). Currently, the text that shows up in the mouseover is indexed as part of the page content--and it's probably a fairly important part. You could go into one of your lesser important category pages where such flyover text occurs and remove it from the html and test whether there is any change to traffic or rankings (or conversions) before doing it for the entire site.

		Alt text and itemprop description
I want to optimise the logo on our site. Our developers have presently got the site logo code like this: 601 character description, no keywords 1. How best to use the alt text and description? 2. Do I concentrate on alt text? Isn't the 601 character description: Technical SEO | | abisti2
 a) too long, and
 b) an opportunity to add relevant keywords again, like the alt text?0

JavaScript page loader - SEO impact
Hello all, Technical SEO | | Lvet
I am working on a site that has a bizarre page load system. All pages get loaded trough the same Javascript snippet, for example: Changing the values in the form changes the page that is loaded. The most incredible thing is that, against my expectations, pages do get indexed by Google.
My question is: "Does loading pages dynamically using JavaScript affect the overall SEO performance?" Why are pages getting indexed? Thank you for shedding light on this.
 Cheers

Do Letters With Accents Affect SEO?
Hi Guys, My company has a franchise of a foreign company that uses an accent/foreign letter in its brand name. We have to refer to this franchise with this symbol on our website to meet their standards. I've done some research on this but its not conclusive, so i was wondering whether anyone here can confirm this for me; Will using the letter with this symbol impair our rankings for this franchise name? Obviously as a UK business people search for this franchise with a regular letter and not the accented one. I would have thought that Google is clever enough to recognise the meaning of the accented letter by now and therefore it wouldn't affect rankings (much). Furthermore, do you think that it would make any difference to use the HTML element to represent the accent rather than copy and pasting the symbol onto our website? I would've thought this would help Google pick it up, but it might not make a difference anyway! Any help is appreciated. Thanks Sam Technical SEO | | Sandicliffe1

How Does Dynamic Content for a Specific URL Impact SEO?
Example URL: http://www.sja.ca/English/Community-Services/Pages/Therapy Dog Services/default.aspx The above page is generated dynamically depending on what province the visitor visits from. For example, a visitor from BC would see something quite different than a visitor from Nova Scotia; the intent is that the information shown should be relevant to the user of that province. How does this effect SEO? How (or from what location) does Googlebot decide to crawl the page? I have considered a subdirectory for each province, though that comes with its challenges as well. One such challenge is duplicate content when different provinces may have the same information for some pages. Any suggestions for this? Technical SEO | | ey_sja0
