Can OG titles be used as a substitute for Meta titles
-
We use og (open graph) titles in lieu of meta titles. Is there any downside to using just one. Should we be using both og and meta titles on our page.
Appreciate any insight.

TL;DR - Yes, you should use both for better CTR in SERP and Social Networks.
OpenGraph is described here:
http://ogp.me/
and OG is mostly used from Facebook and G+.Twitter used TwitterCards:
https://dev.twitter.com/cards/getting-started#opengraph only for them.G+ used shema.org or OG:
https://developers.google.com/+/web/snippet/
https://developers.google.com/+/web/snippet/article-renderingPinterest used RichPins:
https://developers.pinterest.com/docs/rich-pins/overview/So you should read excellent article from Cyrus Shepard about all meta tags:
https://a-moz.groupbuyseo.org/blog/meta-data-templates-123
where everything is described with examples. And answer is YES! Today is 2015 and within few days will be 2016. Today shares in social networks are so much important than also baclkinging. Of course organic visits and visits from social networks are different, so you need to implement both of tags to get maximum performance there.

Open Graph and Meta Titles act slightly different. Open Graph is for audience on social media such as Facebook and Meta Title information can be processed by search engine bots and display results in the organic listings on search engine page such as Google.
Meta title are usually crafted by keeping the keyword search volume, target market and user interest in mind. This help with the rankings on search engines like Google.
Open Graph are usually created to serve meta title that look 'appealing' to the users on social media (Facebook) so as to receive more clicks. There are no rankings involved here.
You can have meta titles and open graph titles as the same or different, it depends on what you are after.

SEO plugin by Yoast messing up my title/meta description
Hey guys, I'm having some issues with my wordpress blog, and I believe SEO plugin by Yoast could be the one causing it. I have set a title for my wordpress blog, and a tagline. This was set in dashboard > settings > general Under "titles and metas" > home in the plugin it says, title: %%sitename%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitedesc%%, and meta description is blank. The reports on seomoz says my title is title+meta description - making it to long (to many characters). What could be the issue here? Thanks in advance!

Effective use of hReview
Hi fellow Mozzers! I am just in the process of adding various reviews to our site (a design agency), but I wanted to use the ratings in different ways depending on the page. So for the home page and the services (branding, POS, direct mail etc) I wanted to aggregate relevant reviews (giving us an average of all reviews for the home page, an average of ratings from all brand projects and so on). Then, I wanted to put specific reviews on our portfolio pages, so the review relates specifically to that project. This is the easiest to do as the hReview generator is geared up for reviews that come from one source, but I can't find a way of aggregating the star ratings to make an average rating rich snippet. Anyone know where I can get the coding for this? Thanks in advance! Nick.

Why "title missing or empty" when title tag exists?
Greetings! On Dec 1, 2011 in a SEOMoz campaign, two crawl metrics shot up from zero (Nov 17, Nov 24). "Title missing or empty" was 9,676. "Duplicate page content" was 9,678. Whoa! Content at site has not changed. I checked a sample of web pages and each seems to have a proper TITLE tag. Page content differs as well -- albeit we list electronic part numbers of hard-to-find parts, which look similar. I found a similar post http://www.seomoz.org/q/why-crawl-error-title-missing-or-empty-when-there-is-already-title-and-meta-desciption-in-place . In answer, Sha ran Screaming Frog crawler. I ran Frog crawler on a few hundred pages. Titles were found and hash codes were unique. Hmmm. Site with errors is http://electronics1.usbid.com Small sample of pages with errors: electronics1.usbid.com/catalog_10.html

Is using a Href in Div OK?
Hi, I was just wondering what your thoughts are on using a Href in a Div, which contains anchor text. We currently use the Href on the div, as opposed to just the anchor text as I want the whole div to be clickable as opposed to just the anchor text. So currently I have: Keword 1

Keyword 2 Is this perfectly fine to do it like this as opposed to using <a tags="" ???<br="">I suppose there are various alternatives - if you must use the</a><a tag="" like:<="" p=""></a> <a tag="" like:<="" p=""></a> Keword 1
Keyword 2 However I would assume a search engine is smart enought to know its the same thing??? Thanks0 -
