I personally think, that 10 jokes per page is not a very good practice (obviously depends on how long the jokes are).
1. 100 Jokes is too much to swallow in one sitting.
2. People don't like pagination when it comes to entertaining content, it always seems like you just want to grab more clicks out of nothing.I would break those 100 jokes into 5 separate posts, via keyword research, which will help you find neutral niches for your jokes, regardless of your content. Something like "Best jokes for teenagers" (~600 monthly searches) / best new jokes (~ 400 searches, and who cares if they're not really new).
It's better to have 5 different posts like that one, it's easier to rank for these keywords as they're less competitive than just "best jokes", and you'll have a solid semantic structure, crawlers will see that your website is all bout lists of jokes, which is what you really want to achieve here.

....I have a Top 100 on 10 sites (pagination). Shall I use always the same title? Or can I used on each site a slightly different title (e.g. Jokes Top 100 | Part 3)
Shall I put something else on the site (for example in the head of the site.)

I would create lists. So list item markup.
Something like "25 Best Jokes About Horses", "17 Funniest Puns","Best knock-knock jokes"
Btw, Buzzfeed ranks on #0 for the last one: http://i.imgur.com/bws4qDe.png And they used a simple list item for markup.

What heading tag to use on sidebars and footers
Hello, I have some awareness of how to use H1, H2 and H3.

H1 only once per page as the main page heading.
H2's should be subheadings, H3's are sub-sub headings of the and so on.
This structure gives hierarchy and opportunities to use additional keywords in an order of priority. I can clearly understand how this would work in an article but what about other content on the page such as global/frequently repeated elements like sidebars and footers? I see sites - and in particular, I have examed SEO focused sites - that use H3, H4 and H5 in these instances seemingly giving themselves scope to use at least H2 tags as part of the page content and break out of the structure hierarchy when dealing with sidebars and footers. I suppose this could signal theses headings are sections of the page that are less relevant than the main article content but that is just an assumption. I don't know what is correct.0 -
Should I use an acronym in my URL?
I know that Google understands various acronyms. Example: If I search for CRM System, it knows i'm searching for a customer relationship management system. However, will it recognize less known acronyms? I have a page geared specifically for SAP data archiving for human capital management systems. For those in the industry, they simply call it HCM. Here is how I view my options: Option #1: www.mywebsite.com/sap-data-archiving/human-capital-management Option #2: www.mywebsite.com/sap-data-archiving/hcm Option #3: www.mywebsite.com/sap-data-archiving/hcm-human-capital-management With option #3, i'm capturing the acronym AND the full phrase. This doesn't make my URL overly long either. Of course, in my content i'll reference both. What does everyone else think about the URL? -Alex

Difference in using dividers in TITLE TAG
Hi everyone, i know that dividers in title or even title tag doesnt have much of an impact on better rankings. I had great rankings for many keywords, not using dividers or using only one divider. However for better reading comprehension and usability, and also aesthetics i started to use the pipe as my main divider and other secondary dividers. I saw many pages drop in rankings vs other less competent and with less content pages. My format was as follows: Product Brand | Product description - Additional info or local info ie. Fiber Glass MBI | Insulation Batts for Home and Commercial use - Acoustic and Thermal Insulation I changed the format for a handful of pages, and saw immediate results on rankings and traffic on those pages. Product Brand with Product Description - Additional Info ie. Fiber Glass MBI Insulation Batts for Commercial use - Acoustic and Thermal Insulation. Does it sound like something i should implement page wide. I personally like the aesthetics of the pipe as it gives a cleaner look, but the better rankings on the changed pages with using only one divider makes me think. Schema and Rich Snippets What's the difference?
Sorry if this is a daft question but... what is the difference between Rich snippets and Schema markup? Are they one and the same? They seem to be used interchaneably and I'm confused. If someone could give a brief sentence or two about the differences between them that would be great. Thanks

URL Domain Used in Meta Description
Today I was asked if using a domain url in your meta description can have a negative impact on your website. This description includes a list of the homepage url, but directs visitors to a different internal page of the website. My concern fell with directing visitors to a different page of the site, but promoting the homepage in the description/snippet. With Penguin 2.1 release on the 4th, I'm very cautious of my links/urls. What are your thoughts behind this? What are the possible, if any negative impacts this could have on a site? This URL does have a brand name as so the Title.

Schema.org for a rental site with more than one apartment per address
I am looking for advices on how to best start adopting schema.org for an apartment rental site with more than one apartment per address. I would like to get feedback and suggestions on my initial thoughts. Here are the obvious ones: http://schema.org/Place for the address of the building an apartment is in. http://schema.org/ApartmentComplex for the unique page for each apartment. Is it ok to use the H1 tag for bullet points?
Our search results page doesn't have a typical H1 tag because adding a true header would take up space unnecessarily. Therefore, we've assigned the h1 tag to be the breadcrumb. As filters are applied, the breadcrumb grows to include these filters. This breadcrumb is coded as bullet points, even though they're not the typical style of bullet points. Alt tag using photoshop
Simple question i think. Ive started adding alt tags to images using the slice tool in photoshop. This takes up a menu were the last part of is alt tag: This way to add alt tags does work right? I used SEO-browser afterwards and couldnt see the tag. There are maybe other better ways to see if your tags are in there ? Dan L.
