          Is it ok to have no h2 tags? There are no "keywords" relevant to the product in these example h2 tags. Also, is it ok to not have a PRODUCT DESCRIPTION header, or is it better with that header? It's for a "product page".

          Examples:

          <h1>Used Bow Front Desk With Mahogany Laminate</h1>
          <h2 style="display:inline;">QTY:</h2> 3 - <h2 style="display:inline;">Manufacturer:</h2> Hon
          <h2>Product Description:</h2>
          <p>This bow front desk is in excellent condition.  It has a beautiful mahogany laminate.</p>
          

          OR (no h2 tags or product description header at all)

          <h1>Used Bow Front Desk With Mahogany Laminate</h1>
          <p>QTY: 3 - Manufacturer: Hon</p>
          <p>This bow front desk is in excellent condition.  It has a beautiful mahogany laminate.</p>
          

          I prefer the last one as it's much simpler, but I'm curious if search engines would prefer the existence of h2 tags in the first version.

              It defines the second-level headings on your page. Like a H1 tag, a H2 tag also appears larger than the rest of your main body text. However, H2 tags are always slightly smaller than your H1 tag, so that it does not compete with your main heading. Keep in mind that heading tags don't stop at H2. This strategy makes it simpler for web crawlers to properly index the content for the most important search questions, which likewise makes it almost certain for the webpage to rank higher for those keywords in the web search results pages (SERPs).                   Yes, it is okay to have no h2 tags on a product page. H2 tags are not required for SEO, and they can actually be harmful if they are not used correctly. For example, if you use h2 tags for keywords that are not relevant to the product, you could actually hurt your ranking in search results.

                  In your example, the h2 tags "QTY:", "Manufacturer:", and "Product Description:" are not relevant to the product itself. They are more like metadata that helps to provide information about the product. This information is still important, but it does not need to be marked up with h2 tags.

                    Let's say you're writing a homepage title tag like this: KEYWORD | BRAND and Google rewrites it as BRAND | KEYWORD From Moz and best practices, we believe that keywords closer to the beginning of a title tag may have more impact on search rankings. So, when Google rewrites the title tag, do you get the impact you would have made with the keyword being closer to the front? Or, does Google give you the impact you would have received with the keyword being at the end?

                    Duplicating words in the page title OK?

                    Im finding a site with lots of duplicated words in the title tags, I have always avoided doing this in the past, Is there any penalty for having a word repeated twice in the title, indeed is there a benefit from having it twice, IM assuming not
                    For example: Marketing Services in Milton Keynes | Our Services | TFA
                    https://www.t-f-a.co.uk/services the word service is repeated twice, in my opinion this is of no benefit at all and is better rewritten to remove the duplication

                    Just Curious if this is an SEO No-No! I have set up the box to do some cool SEO transitions but am curious if I am loosing on a signifigant amount of internal linking considering anchor text or if Google recognizes the h2 as anchor text.                     Multiple Cities in Title Tag

                    My question is how to avoid having a spammy title. Currently I'm working on a project where a business serves four cities, but two of them are out of its home state. I'm trying to create a title tag that is appealing to the eyes, and meets what I need it to do at the same time. I was wondering what everyone though of this sample Brand X Dealer Serving Newark, DE; New Castle, DE; Glens Mills, PA; and Springfield, PA I know that too much repetition can be a bad thing, but this might not be a big deal since they are separate instances.                     Can I use Same Keyword for Multi pages Title Tags?

                    Hello All, I am working on client website and currently they are targeting One Keywords for multi pages. As I have search with Allintitle: Search query and Google display around 37 pages of website which carry same keyword in "Title Tags". I have told to client to change the "Title Tags" but they want that keyword for all relevant pages. So I want to know is that harm in Search Engine Ranking? Note: They have not done the link building activities for multi pages with same Keyword, they are using only in "Title Tags" only

                    Is it ok to use encoded special characters in meta titles?

                    I've read blog posts stating that encoding special characters in title tags is both ok and not ok. Any definitive answer out there? Do the extra characters from adding encoding count towards the total number of characters that Google displays in SERPs? Or do they just count as one character?

                    Tag clouds: good for internal linking and increase of keyword relevant pages?

                    As Matt Cutts explained, tag clouds are OK if you're not engaged in keyword stuffing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYPX_ZmhLqg) - i.e. if you're not putting in 500 tags. I'm currently creating tags for an online-bookseller; just like Amazon this e-commerce-site has potentially a couple of million books. Tag clouds will be added to each book detail page in order to enrich each of these pages with relevant keywords both for search engines and users (get a quick overview over the main topics of the book; navigate the site and find other books associated with each tag). Each of these book-specific tag clouds will hold up to 50 tags max, typically rather in the range of up to 10-20. From an SEO perspective, my question is twofold: 1. Does the site benefit from these tag clouds by improving the internal linking structure? 2. Does the site benefit from creating lots of additional tag-specific-pages (up to 200k different tags) or can these pages become a problem, as they don't contain a lot of rich content as such but rather lists of books associated with each tag?
