Issue in "Suggest an Edit" feature of Google My Business

"Suggest an Edit" feature of Google My Business is allowing the competitors to change your business details, that too without your prior permission!

While you can't disable the suggest an edit feature, you can report incorrect edits to the Google My Business forum:

Be sure you give the complete details of the listing, the history of the edit that was made, and anything else you can think of that would help. Cross your fingers that a Top Contributor will take a look at your post and help you. Hope this helps!

I totally agree with you that "Suggest an Edit" is Google's feature and not a mistake. But editing done by anonymous get published without owner's permission is something could be an issue as it gives everyone the authority to destroy anyone's business as my friend had faced huge down fall in traffic and ranking as well.
In my opinion, anonymous changes should not get live until the owner approves them manually.
In my case, the changes made by anonymous were incorrect and most probably made by any of the competitors. The incorrect information got live without my friend's approval.
Considering this my question is "Is it right in Google's part to allow anyone to edit business information without owner's permission", is there any way out to prevent this?"

How to Have Multiple Listings appear on Google maps
Hi my client has two locations for his restaurants: Me Gusta Tacos He wants to have both his locations show up in the map pack, which they currently do when you type in Restaurants, Dinner, food near me etc... Yahoo Local Business Listings Hijacked
We are a solar company with three locations. When claiming our business listings on Yahoo (Yext), we noticed that one of them had already been claimed. The name of our company and our phone number were changed to a lead generation company. Upon further inspection, this company has hijacked hundreds of listings throughout the state and the country. My specific question is, does anyone have any insight on the best method for getting help from Yahoo/Yext? Other than through their "help portal" on the website. Can I use the same interior photos for multiple stores in Google My Business?
Hi, The company I work for has many store locations across the country. Getting good/quality interior pictures has become very difficult for us. We recently good a Virtual Tour from Google for one of the locations, and they took some really pictures. According to Google, the "Photos should represent the actual business" and "Represent the real-world business location". My question is: since our stores are VERY similar in the interior, can we use the same pictures for them while we get more pictures? Would Google penalize this? Thanks!

Google My Business - bulk location upload vs. single upload
Hi there, I have a question regarding Google My Business listings: We currently have a business with few offices (less than 10). Each office has it's Google listing under the same Google account.

We plan on opening new offices at a certain pace, let's say two a month, which means we'll have more than 10 listings in the near future.
As far as I recall, Google allows up to 10 listings per account, which means it won't suffice. On the other hand, We do not have 10 offices at the time being, which means we're not eligible for a bulk upload. Any ideas how to handle this situation?0 -
What is the ideal length of a business description for citations?
I am trying to write a business description for building citations. What is the ideal length or word count for this? I am using Yext to help get them listed, did a lot of searching for an answer and was unable to come up with a definite answer. Any help would be great! Are citations the way to go even if there is no Google Places listing
