Moz not updating the spam score metrics
-
Hi Experts,
I have done everything to come over the following metrics flagged as spam on my website by Moz, few months ago. But, Moz has not updated the spam score yet.
✓Low MozTrust or MozRank Score - improved from 2 to 4.5
✓Large Site with Few Links - My website have more than 6K backlinks
✓Small Proportion of Branded Links - My website have a good amount of branded backlinks
✓Thin Content - Every webpage on website has more than 500 words content
✓External Links in Navigation - There is no external link in navigation other than social media links
✓No Contact Info - The proper address has alreay been placed on website footer
✓Low Number of Pages Found -I am wondering if there are any standard score or number of links to reach to remove these flag?
Also, please suggest some ways that will help me improve moz spam score at faster rate. Thanks for your help in advance!"

By clicking on your Spam Score rating on the Inbound Links tab of Open Site Explorer, you can see which specific factors you're being flagged for. The flags represent a wide variety of potential signals ranging from content concerns to low authority metrics. However, this does not mean that you need to 'change' these things, rather it's just an indication to be aware of them.

Hi Eli,
Thank you for your response.
I am agree with your point that spam metric may take more time to get updated but I am tracking the same spam score for more than 9 months for my website.
I am also wondering if Moz have any standards to remove a particular spam flag.
For example: Moz rank of website should be greater than 5 to remove the spam flag "Low MozTrust or MozRank Score"

Hey!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unlike the rest of the metrics available in Open Site Explorer, the Spam Score doesn't update each month with the rest of the index update. The Spam Analysis section updates on a completely separate schedule, and much less frequently; usually around every 6 months or so. So it's entirely possible that you're seeing Spam flags that are no longer relevant to your site.
If you have any further questions relevant to your personal website, feel free to reach out to [email protected]
Have a great day!
Eli

Unusually high Spam Score
Hi! My Spam Score is indicating 39% on MOZ and I can't identify that many signals from the 27-signal list that could be actually raised in order for the score to show such a high value like this. My website is Ronaldo7.net, Is there anyone who could help me understanding what signals exactly I should pay more attention and eventually fix them so the spam score reduces drastically? Are all these Spam Score signals weighed equally? (for example, I don't have a LinkedIn profile/link for my site, so should I assume that for not having it my spam score increases 3-4% (27/100)? I don't think that's the case, so I would really appreciate if anyone could point me in the right directions in order to help me reducing the spam score. One final question, is this Spam Score updated on a daily/weekly or monthly basis? Regards, Guilherme

Moz Bar doesn't show any data and keeps asking me to log in when actually I'm logged in.
Hi all, I've been using Moz Bar for years. It ran well until about three weeks ago. It suddenly failed to show the DA and PA of sites that I open after I log in. And it keeps asking me to log in when I did. I tried to uninstall the Mozbar extension and reinstalled it several times. Nothing worked. I also tried to uninstall Chrome and clear the cookies, still, nothing changed. Did anyone experience this? How do you solve it and make it run on the track? Any information will be appreciated. Are we actually getting accurate data on keyword volumes from Moz (or other sources)?
I have a client who does patio furniture repair and restoration. When performing keyword research in Moz for terms like "patio furniture repair" I see that only 11-50 people in the entire US are searching for this term according to the Moz data. However, running an Adwords campaign currently and our top keyword is the phrase match for "patio furniture repair" which has generated over 100 clicks in just a couple of months in ONE county. Is there a better way to research more accurate results on search volume estimates? This makes organic SEO and keyword targeting hard! Thanks, Ricky

Does "Disallow: /xmlrpc.php" in robots.txt affect moz tools ability to fetch DA?
Just checked a website for Domain Authority using Moz' tool, however it returned 1 for DA, which should be unlikely. I have been trying to find the problem and found "Disallow: /xmlrpc.php" in robots.txt. Could this affect Moz' tools ability to get the required data?

How Does Moz Shoot Whiteboard Fridays?
Okay, sort of a meta question here... My company, a global test preparation company, is looking into new ways to deliver online course content (both pre-recorded and live streaming). Around the office we have looked at dozens of examples of companies that do video presenting or teaching, and then I realized that I watch a great example of high-quality online video every week: Whiteboard Fridays! They look and sound fantastic! Moz team, what are you willing to share re: the setup you use? I'm looking for specific direction about lighting, sound, and equipment. Anything you share would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks!
