Hello Everyone, I'm trying to track how many times a Vimeo video is played on my site via GA. Does any of you have any knowledge of how can this be achieved? I've read the documentation and came up with this: After the iframe embed i insert this: Of course the GA is loaded in the header. Does not work, at least i cant see anything in analytics. I have set up the segment as per the attached image. Thanks in advance! Alex

Hi, I wrote a step by step instruction on how to do it using Sanders method. I made it as simple as I could. Find it here: http://www.serpstone.com/magazine/vimeo-video-tracking-in-google-analytics-using-tag-manager/

Hey there, Not sure if you ever got this resolved, but here are two sources that I found that may help: https://github.com/CardinalPath/gas#_gastrackvimeo http://sanderheilbron.github.io/vimeo.ga.js/ I'll try out one, and if that doesn't work, I'll try the other. Let me know if you have any success!

How else can one embed a Vimeo movie?

Do you absolutely have to use an iframe?
-

Yes, but this assumes that you can actually make the Play button a link. If you're embeding a Vimeo or Youtube video as an iframe you cannot touch/see the "play" button. Any other ideas?

This is what I read in the Google Event documentation. The Event Tracking data model has the following components which map directly to__elements in the Analytics Reports interface: - categories
- actions
- labels
- values
- implicit count
A simple example illustrates how you might use the Event Tracking method to record user interaction with a video Play link on your page. It assumes that pageTrackeris the__name used for your tracking object._[Play](#)__In this scenario, the reports for Events would display Videos as the Category, __Play as the Action, and Baby's First Birthday as the Label. The rest of this document describes these components in detail. Bear in mind that when you implement Event Tracking,_you can use this data model as a guide, or you can simply use the _trackEvent()method to segment user interaction in any way that works for your data.

How does Google Maps/G+ traffic show up in Analytics?
Hi Moz Community, I've been trying to figure out how traffic from Google Maps (and G+) shows up in Google Analytics and am struggling to find a good answer online. If someone finds a business through Google Maps and then clicks on the website in the Maps listing, does that show up as a referral from Google Maps? Our site shows virtually zero traffic from Google Maps even though we have a number of listing. Two related questions: if someone clicks through to a G+ page from a Maps result and then visits our website from the G+ page, does that show up in Analytics as a referral from G+? Is traffic from Google Maps or G+ ALSO counted as organic traffic? (Would it be possible to accidentally double-count a visit as both organic and a referral from Maps/G+? Thanks everybody! Migrated website but Google Analytics still displays old URL's and none new?!
I migrated a website from a .aspx to a .php and hence had to 301 all the old urls to the new php ones. It's been months after and I'm not seeing any of the php pages showing results but I'm still getting results from the old .aspx pages. Has any one had any experience with this issue or knows what to do? Many thanks, Reporting & Analytics | | CoGri0

Google Analytics Real Time Not Working! :(
Hello Everyone, Today, the real time feature in my google analytics stopped working. I am able to see that traffic is visiting my site, but not in real time. The real time count is usually at 0. But, there are some instances where real time will come back online, but there will be only 1 unique visitor. At any given time, our website usually has 20 visitors or so..Has anyone encountered this issue? Where should i start looking for fixes? What are the possible problems? Thanks! Comparing % Change, Google Analytics
Hey Mozzers, Is there a simple way to compare the "% Change" in traffic when comparing two separate time periods in a single Google Analytics report? When comparing data from two separate time periods, an exported CSV doesn't include the % Change (booo!), and there's no option to sort by % Change within the GA report, essentially forcing you to scroll through all the results to pinpoint the major movers and shakers. I'm not averse to using spreadsheets to sort this data, but I'm thinking that I'd likely need a macro to make this work, something like this. However, none of the macros on that page are working (possibly because they were designed for a previous version of Analytics). All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
