I need to built a multi language site (to built a Pilates, Yoga site) and I will use a site builder. After posting questions on wix.com I came to the fact I should continue my research because there are not SEO friendly.

          Do you have a suggestions?

Limited to html knowledge, using a website builder is my only option.

Here are some of the features I need:

          • Multilanguage Web Site
          • Mobile version
          • SEO Friendly
          • Nice Template Selections( this is important)
          • HTML customization
          • Twitter, Facebook, Blog...

I'm not looking at free website builder, when you want good features, there is a price to paid.

Thank you for your help and suggestions,

          BigBlaze

Sorry for the late response, but you should also check out Breezi, as it meets all of your requirements and then some (and yes, I'm from Breezi, so I'm biased of course). WordPress is a good platform as well, but the drawback is that you'll likely spend a lot of time in theme customizations, installing plugins, etc.

We have a limited number of pre-designed themes currently, but we'll be ramping up over the next few weeks and adding a lot more.

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions!

Would it be spammy of me to say www.basekit.com?! It has everything you need. It's either us or SquareSpace - we're regarded as the best. All the others are pretty lacking or use flash. Even Wix's recent HTML5 push is still very much flash-based.

Well, you can perform a search for 'Free premium wordpress themes' and you'll get a very big selection of fantastic designs or you can go to elegantthemes.com and pay for one.

And yes Wordpress is very SEO friendly I believe Matt Cutts even said so.

                Hope this helps 🙂

I have never used it, but to be honest - the builder itself is probably irrelevant due to your specific requirements. As most sitebuilders are exactly the same - they just have different features - so if you find one with all the features you need go with it!

The only variable is if this builder is also the Host - in this situation just make sure you verify its uptime, support and service.

                    Hope this helps

You can easily build a website with wordpress and there's loads of themes you can choose from which you can then edit. Have a look at these an see if you like any. They're all free by the way - http://www.fabthemes.com/

Personally - with your requirements, you are either going to have to do an in depth search of products that will fit your needs - the closest I would say is Weebly or the like - I really think though with your needs, you will be much better off with a CMS - it is a learning curve, but more control.

Other than that - I would suggest learning coding languages 🙂

Sitebuilders are built to be easy, and your needs are sort of outside the realm of a normal sitebuilder user.

I strongly recommend you build the site using Wordpress, site builders are usually very limited.

you can most definitely customize the URL with Weebly.... But the language? How do you mean? In page translation? Or the controls of the program in another language?

It look like they don't have multi language site.
also, not possible to customize page url.

                                      Any other options?

How about using software, like Intuit?

Wil it be better to use software or a online site builder ?

                                        Thank you,

if you need hosting and the builder - weebly.com is a pretty good choice - there are drawbacks of course to any sitebuilder, and limited HTML knowledge.

But in my expereince if you are not looking for a CMS, just a "drag and drop" builder - weebly is 100000 times better than wix - as you found out wix is HORRIBLE for SEO.

If you are looking for a little more customization - just find a host that offers a sitebuilder - like Fatcow - they offer weebly pro for an additional price AND you have all the FTP abilities to make advanced HTML changes and additions after using weebly to publish the core components.

Learning HTML and becoming very proficient in it, and its counterparts (php asp ect..) is crucial to SEO though...

                                          Hope this helps

Have Your Thoughts Changed Regarding Canonical Tag Best Practice for Pagination? - Google Ignoring rel= Next/Prev Tagging

Hi there, We have a good-sized eCommerce client that is gearing up for a relaunch. At this point, the staging site follows the previous best practice for pagination (self-referencing canonical tags on each page; rel=next & prev tags referencing the last and next page within the category). Knowing that Google does not support rel=next/prev tags, does that change your thoughts for how to set up canonical tags within a paginated product category? We have some categories that have 500-600 products so creating and canonicalizing to a 'view all' page is not ideal for us. That leaves us with the following options (feel it is worth noting that we are leaving rel=next / prev tags in place): Leave canonical tags as-is, page 2 of the product category will have a canonical tag referencing ?page=2 URL Reference Page 1 of product category on all pages within the category series, page 2 of product category would have canonical tag referencing page 1 (/category/) - this is admittedly what I am leaning toward. Any and all thoughts are appreciated! If this were in relation to an existing website that is not experiencing indexing issues, I wouldn't worry about these. Given we are launching a new site, now is the time to make such a change. Thank you! Joe

Weird Layout on Initial Website Load?

Whenever I open my site from an uncached source, like google incognito, for a split second it displays purple links and a white background while it loads the rest of the content. I've included a screenshot. Is there any way to fix that.? The site is www.kemprugegreen.com. u8P9q

How to prevent development website subdomain from being indexed?

Hello awesome MOZ Community! Our development team uses a sub-domain "dev.example.com" for our SEO clients' websites. This allows changes to be made to the dev site (U/X changes, forms testing, etc.) for client approval and testing. An embarrassing discovery was made. Naturally, when you run a "site:example.com" the "dev.example.com" is being indexed. We don't want our clients websites to get penalized or lose killer SERPs because of duplicate content. The solution that is being implemented is to edit the robots.txt file and block the dev site from being indexed by search engines. My questions is, does anyone in the MOZ Community disagree with this solution? Can you recommend another solution? Would you advise against using the sub-domain "dev." for live and ongoing development websites? Thanks!

Best practice for multilanguage website ( PHP feature based on Browser or Geolocalisation)

Hi Moz Experts I would like to know what does it the best practice for multilanguage website for the default language ? There are several PHP features to help users to get the right language when they come from SEO and direct; present the default language by browser language, by gelolocalisation, etc. However, which one is the most appropriate for Quebec company that try to get outside Canada ? Reasons Why Our Website Pages Randomly Loads Without Content

I know this is not a marketing question but this community is very dev savvy so I'm hoping someone can help me. At random times we're finding that our website pages load without the main body content. The header, footer and navigation loads just fine. If you refresh, it's fine but that's not a solution. Happens on Chrome, IE and Firefox, testing with multiple browser versions Happens across various page types - but seems to be only the main content section/container Happens while on the company network, as well as externally Happens after deleting cookies, temporary internet files and restarting computer We are using a CMS that is virtually unheard of - Bridgeline/Iapps Codebase is .net Our IT/Dev group keeps pushing back, blaming it on cookies or Chrome plugins because they apparently are unable to "recreate the problem". This has been going on for months and it's a terrible experience for the user to have. It's also not great when landing PPC visitors on pages that load with no content. If anyone has ideas as to why this may be happening I would really appreciate it. I'm not sure if links are allowed, by today the issue happened on this page serversdirect.com/dm/geek-biz Linking to an image example below knEUzqd

Implementing a new Nav Bar: Best practice, SEO benefit, your suggestions?

Hi Mozland, We are going to have a new Nav Bar for our site built from the horror that we currently have to up with. We want to make it a simple affair, similar to The Guardian two-tier Nav Bar - main menu which will drop down to the 2nd tier according to what you clicked on in tier one. Regular stuff, I think. Any suggestions, from your experience, about how best to implement this, what to include, what not to do, what can be included and done to make it as best it can be to get people to peruse our site as easily as possible? Thanks

How would restructuring the navigation of my website affect my rankings?

I want to restructure the navigation of my website for a few reasons: 1. It isn't intuitive/clear to the user 2. It is way too big, it has too many links and thus causes the number of links on many pages to be >100. 3. I want to get rid of file extensions as part of the URLs (.html, .php) 4. I want to achieve a "tree"-like navigation system, with categories, subcategories and so on. In the process of cleaning up my website, I had to 301 redirect a lot of duplicate pages, fix broken links, etc. I have a lot of 301 redirects already, and in the process of restructuring the navigation of my website I know I'm going to get more. Will the addition of new 301 redirects have an effect on my rankings? (I'm basically going to be changing all of the URLs) What kind of SEO effect will restructuring the navigation at the top of the page (reducing the # of links on the main menu) have on my site? What is the best strategy to implement in this situation?

Site-wide footer links or single "website credits" page?

I see that you have already answered this question before back in 2007 (http://www.seomoz.org/qa/view/2163), but wanted to ask your current opinion on the same question: Should I add a site-wide footer link to my client websites pointing to my website, or should I create a "website credits" page on my clients site, add this to the footer and then link from within this page out to my website?
