Blog Ranking NOT home page main website?!

Hi,
Our Blog (http://blog.thailand-investigation.com) is ranking for some of our major keywords but not our home page (http://www.thailand-investigation.com)!?
Our blog is WordPress and our main website is HTML.
It seems like the search engines consider that they are 2 separate websites!? When I check the incoming links to our website, I get also the blog links!!!??? Is it normal?
Do I have to build a relation of some kind or write some code saying that it is our Blog... I don't know!
I'm not a SEO specialist or even a webmaster. I'm a small business owner and take care on my website. I created by myself but never learned! So, please help!

OK... so you have a penguin problem too.
You may need a new site on a new domain.... or perhaps this one can be salvaged. I don't know. You need assistance from someone who can spend the time needed to understand your penguin problem and help you with the suggestions that I made above.
I don't think that you need an SEO who is going to put you on a program that will costs thousands of dollars per month. You need a consultant who can make a decision about your penguin problem, get your blog set-up properly and coach you through fixing the other problems.

This site has lots of problems.
I don't know what terms you are trying to rank for... but... if this was my site I would...
-
remove the links page from the navigation and would probably delete it from the site
-
decide what is important and focus my homepage title tag on that (it is currently way too long, suffers from keyword stuffing, repetition, does not elicit clicks)

rewrite the homepage, eliminating the bold and color text from the paragraph copy
-
fix homepage canonical problems ("home" goes to index.htm)

blog is on a subdomain but the link in main navigation goes to index.php in a folder
-
move the blog into a folder
-
get rid of the tags in the blog
-
create alt attributes that support your keyword targets
-
develop a persistent navigation that directs visitors to your essential pages and employ that navigation on the main site and the blog

develop article content for each of your business services
All of that is from a quick look, there is probably a lot more that a detailed study would find and which I am unable to offer.
If you are getting business from this website I think that it would be worth the investment to have a professional SEO spend the time needed to learn about your business, determine the keyword targets that will attract business, help you get it optimized, and develop a content strategy. (I am not looking for a job, I only work on my own sites.)
The reason that I would hire someone is that it will get the job done right immediately and eliminate the loss of revenue that will occur while you are learning. Or, you can find an SEO who is willing to consult and coach you while you do the work yourself.

Delete old blog posts after 301 redirects to new pages?
Hi Moz Community, I've recently created several new pages on my site using much of the same copy from blog posts on the same topics (we did this for design flexibility and a few other reasons). The blogs and pages aren't exactly identical, as the new pages have much more content, but I don't think there's a point to having both and I don't want to have duplicate content, so we've used 301 redirects from the old blog posts to the new pages of the same topic. My question is: can I go ahead and delete the old blog posts? (Or would there be any reasons I shouldn't delete them?) I'm guessing with the 301 redirects, all will be well in the world and I can just delete the old posts, but I wanted to triple check to make sure. 1000 Pages on old website. What to do with the 301 redirects for this domain?
Hi Moz Community, I have a 301 redirect question... I just acquired an old domain: Totally in my niche Domain is 14 years old Website exists of 1000 pages Great amount of backlinks Website is offline since about 2 weeks Will place a new website online asap with new url structure For the 50 best scoring pages I wrote a new, but fully comparable/related article. I will put a 301 redirect from those old to the new pages. My question: What to do with the 950 other url's? Should I put a 301 redirect to the homepage? Should I forward those pages to the 404 page? Should I divide the 950 url's with a 301 redirect to the 50 new ones? Another solution maybe? Any idea what would be the best solution so we can save as much Google juice as possible? Removed Product page on our website, what to do
We just removed an entire product category on our website, (product pages still exist, but will be removed soon as well) Should we be setting up re-directs, or can we simply delete this category and product

Will Adding Publish Date at end of Page Title for Blog posts Hurt SEO?
I'd like to be able to easily track blog posts by month but in Google reports when you set a date range obviously older blog post still appear and with amount of blog posts we generate without seeing the date in the title it's not obvious what was published and when it was published. For example if a Blog Title was "/dangers-of-sharing-KM-knowledge-01-11-15 would it hurt SEO? The reason is I'd like to have a quick way to know how new posts do each month compared to older content

Ecommerce website: Product page setup & SKU's
I manage an E-commerce website and we are looking to make some changes to our product pages to try and optimise them for search purposes and to try and improve the customer buying experience. This is where my head starts to hurt! Now, let's say I am selling a T shirt that comes in 4 sizes and 6 different colours. At the moment my website would have 24 products, each with pretty much the same content (maybe differing references to the colour & size). My idea is to change this and have 1 main product page for the T-shirt, but to have 24 product SKU's/variations that exist to give the exact product details. Some different ways I have been considering to do this: a) have drop-down fields on the product page that ask the customer to select their Tshirt size and colour. The image & price then changes on the page. b) All product 24 product SKUs sre listed under the main product with the 'Add to Cart' open next to each one. Each one would be clickable so a page it its own right. Would I need to set up a canonical links for each SKU that point to the top level product page? I'm obviously looking to minimise duplicate content but Im not exactly sure on how to set this up - its a big decision so I need to be 100% clear before signing off on anything. . Any other tips on how to do this or examples of good e-commerce websites that use product SKus well? Kind regards Tom

Redirecting Entire Microsite Content to Main Site Internal Pages?
I am currently working on improving site authority for a client site. The main site has significant authority, but I have learned that the company owns several other resource-focused microsites which are stagnant, but which have accrued significant page authority of their own (thought still less than the main site). Realizing the fault in housing good content on a microsite rather than the main site, my thought is that I can redirect the content of the microsites to internal pages on the main site as a "Resources" section. I am wondering a: if this is a good idea and b: the best way to transfer site authority from these microsites. I am also wondering how to organize the content and if, for example, an entire microsite domain (e.g. microsite.com) should in fact be redirected to internal resource pages (e.g. mainsite.com/resources). Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Robots.txt File Redirects to Home Page
I've been doing some site analysis for a new SEO client and it has been brought to my attention that their robots.txt file redirects to their homepage.
