Cool interactive games to teach link building

Hey looking to find some cool games to teach link building when doing a presentation to people who are new to link building and to make it fun. Any ideas?

I'm thinking about a game which i bring in a string which represents all the traffic for a particular vertical (e.g. car insurance). And place it in the middle of the table. Then the people around it will get into groups of 4 (representing websites) and think of content/creative ideas or ways to bring that traffic to them (organic traffic) What do you guys think?

Hey looking to find some cool games to teach link building when doing a presentation to people who are new to link building and to make it fun. Monopoly comes to mind. You built your first link? Go directly to Google jail. You built your second link? Pay poor tax of 50% of your traffic If you are going to teach people, teach them NOT to "build" links and instead to earn links. The difference is not subtle.

Gosh, this is a somewhat crazy question, I have a few ideas, but it may help if you give us an idea of what you mean by link building? What techniques will you be using / teaching? I am not really sure about a game, but you could easily make a lesson out of identifying link candidates for a given piece of content - something like. - Site A has this piece of content which they want to rank for Keywords X, Y & Z.
- Currently the content has no external links but several similar pieces of content (and provide links) currently have many links
The 'game' would be to identify the links pointing to the similar content, find the social accounts of users who have posted those links using various tools and then to do some social outreach to build relationships with those users with the goal of eventually asking for a link. Not 100% sure how you would build this into a game - it would really need some artificial content and link prospects to really work. Hope that helps!

When conducting a link building strategy does it matter the country the link is from?
We are a UK business and if we have links mostly from US based blogs and websites does this penalise us. The links are from relevant websites and topics. Should we be focusing on .co.uk sites Link Building | | Caffeine_Marketing1

Has your site ever been targeted by malicious link building executed by a competitor?
I'm pretty sure one of my client's sites has been targeted by malicious black hat link building tactics employed by a competitor site. Over the last few weeks we've gotten 100s of super low quality spammy backlinks. No one has been doing link building, so the only thing I can think of is that competitor entered our URL into some spammy backlink building sites. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the real estate industry, so I wouldn't be surprised considering how competitive it is, but I'd love to hear your experiences. Link Building | | JBMediaGroup1

		Link building with PDFs
I created a manual for a popular piece of equipment and placed it, as a PDF-file, on my website. The PDF contains a clickable link to the root domain of my website. Other websites have downloaded the PDF and put it on their own website, hosting it themselves. Since Google indexes PDFs, does the link in the PDF count as a regular 'link' from an external website, and does it have comparable value? Can't find any thoughts or studies about this anywhere. Footer Links And Link Juice
I'm starting to learn about link juice and notice in GWMT > Traffic > Internal Links, that the list is in this order by the links counted on each page. Some are in the footer and some are in the header, with some being more important than others commercially i.e. /register /privacy /terms /search /sitemap /disclaimer /blog /register So I am wondering if I should add a 'no-follow' attribute to the footer links i.e. privacy, terms, disclaimer and leave the others as they are? Does this help retain link juice on each page where the links appear? Or am I missing the point all together? This is my website: http://goo.gl/CN0e5 Link Building | | Ubique0

Link building for a product review site
I'm doing SEO for a product review website, and I'm curious what link building opportunities are best for this category. Assume only the following: The website is basically a blog Most of the articles are reviews on cosmetic products, though there are also articles regarding news, product roundups, tips&tricks and similar content The website is in a local, non-english language Disregarding low-value opportunities such as directories, what kind of websites should I aim for outreach purposes? So far, I'm thinking the following: Product manufacturers (very low success chance, as the review site is fairly new and in a localized language) E-commerce sites selling the products (average to low success chance, since a lot of them use CMSes that might not allow integration of a review) Other cosmetic blogs, particularly for guest blogging (average to low success chance, since the website is fairly new) Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!
