Local seo + phone number ?
-

I read that if I want successful local SEO campaign, I should use the same phone number in all my citations. But some citations are local for UK and I do not need to write the phone code +44, others require to use the phone code since they are international. Is it bad for my local SEO using 2 different numbers (with and without phone code) and how to avoid it ?

Hi Digitalkiddie, I would expect Google to be able to understand international prefixes. Can't give you a 100% guarantee on that, but I'm reasonably certain that they are sophisticated enough to get this. So, my advice is to list your complete local number wherever possible, but if some directories require a different format, follow their guidelines and provide what they want. Hope this helps!

Hi Digitalkiddie, Whilst we all know that NAP (Name, Address and Phone Number) should be consistent in citation, if your business offers its services locally and internationally, I would include both local and international phone number on your website, then use relevant phone number from local/international citation. I dont see this being a problem and have used this successfully in the past. If you are worried, the alternative is to use local number consistently, and for international citations simply prefix number with [UK]. Hope this helps Woody

		Empty href damages SEO? (href="#")
Hello, I'm analyzing a website with thousands of pages. Link Building | | prozis
I realized that on many of them they have empty links such href="#". I wonder if that will cause any SEO damage, or if Google will just ignore it as there isn't any link? I was reading about it and people seems to not be sure, although they recommend on forums to user the CSS pointer clickable instead of empty link. Let me know your opinion on this please! Thank you in advance!0

Is there any SEO value of an HTML Sitemap, or is it strictly UI/UX?
We have an xml sitemap that generates daily, and our site and navigation is strong. Is there any added SEO value in either the links, or content of an html sitemap? I only see answers from several years ago so not sure if things have changed that would increase or decrease the importance. Thanks Link Building | | Education4Life0

Toxic Link Removal-Better to Pay an SEO Firm or Can I Do It Myself?
Hi Jen: Recently an SEO audit from a reputable SEO firm identified almost 50% of the incoming links to my site as toxic, 40% suspicious and 5% of good quality. They are of the opinion that it is imperative to remove the toxic domains. The fee for toxic link removal is about $3,000.I would prefer to save the $3,000 but would prefer not to take the risk of screwing up my ranking if this is a complex procedure best left to SEO professionals. My assumption is that link removal will involve identifying the toxic domains, requesting removal and eventually submitting a Google disavow request. Can I do this myself or is there a big risk of screwing it up? Assuming it is safe for me to remove toxic links, would anyone suggest software of tools for doing so? Thanks so much. Do Local Listings like Yellow Pages and yelp count for backlinks??
I am wondering if adding your company with url on a local listing like yellowpages.com, yelp.com, merchantCircle.com, etc. actually counts as a "backlink"? I'm thinking it is not considered a link because I have never seen one listing in Open site explorer, either that, or it is considered a backlink, just not one important enough for open site explorer to show it. Does anyone know for sure?? Link Building | | DTOSI0
