Setting title tag with javascript/jquery

Hi there,
I'm looking for some advice. I've recently implemented a few jQuery functions which gets specific content from the page and then sets the title and description.
See working example here.
It seems to work fine but my question I have is whether Google bots can read it and whether it might actually hinder my SEO efforts?
Any advice would be really appreciated!

I don't think your javascript usage is helping you. I am not sure as to why you would nofollow something you sought to improve for SEO.
As to speed, you have more issues than your provider's server. Download Google Insights and run the page speed tool. You will see what I mean.

The main reason for changing the title/description tags with javascript was to make the pages more indexable (and readable on google). Would you say these pages will provide any SEO benefits to the rest of the website? Or would it be better to set a nofollow tag?
I will have a look into speeding up the property pages however it's most likely because the information is being rendered on our software providers server which at the same time is probably handling 1000's of other requests aswell

Unfortunately I cannot do this in PHP as the property details are rendered using XML and I don't have access to the files as it's saved on our software providers server (they have also said they would not know how to implement this) - I also have little to no experience with XML so that's why I thought i'd try javascript.

I agree with Jon,
Also, your page is loading quite slowly when I use Google Pagespeed insights. You might want to run it on the site and just look at what it is suggesting.

No, Google won't see it - you're meant to make your site accessible to those with JS turned off. Check using GWT 'fetch as Google'.
You could, however, do this with PHP.

Google has deindexed a page it thinks is set to 'noindex', but is in fact still set to 'index'
A page on our WordPress powered website has had an error message thrown up in GSC to say it is included in the sitemap but set to 'noindex'. The page has also been removed from Google's search results. Page is https://www.onlinemortgageadvisor.co.uk/bad-credit-mortgages/how-to-get-a-mortgage-with-bad-credit/ Looking at the page code, plus using Screaming Frog and Ahrefs crawlers, the page is very clearly still set to 'index'. The SEO plugin we use has not been changed to 'noindex' the page. I have asked for it to be reindexed via GSC but I'm concerned why Google thinks this page was asked to be noindexed. Can anyone help with this one? Has anyone seen this before, been hit with this recently, got any advice...?

Exact Match Domain & Title Tag / URL
I currently own an exact match domain for my keyword. I have it set up with multiple pages and also a blog. The home page essentially serves as a hub and contains links to all the pages and the blog. My targeted keyword is on its own page and I made the title tag the same as my keyword. As an example the URL for my targeted post looks like this: benefitsofrunningshoes.com/benefits-of-running-shoes I have solid, non-spammy content and clean whitehat earned backlinks directing to that specific page. My concern right now is that the URL looks kinda spammy. The website has been live for about a week and the home page ranks well enough but my targeted page is no where to be found. (it does show up if I manually search via search command "site:benefitsofrunningshoes.com"). I'm wondering if it is acceptable to use the exact keyword in title tag / page url if it is also in the domain as an EMD? Should I change the title tag and leave the URL in? Or should I completely change the title tag and URL and 301 redirect to the new page? I appreciate any help!

Title tag not showing on google? Please Help!
I've read the FAQs and searched the help center. Should I include tags in sitemap?
Hello All, I was wondering if you should include tags and categories in your sitemap. In the past on previous blogs I have always left tags and categories out. The reason for this is a good friend of mine who has been doing SEO for a long time and inhouse always told me that this would result in duplicate content. I thought that it would be a great idea to get some input from the SEOmoz community as this obviously has a big affect on your blog and the number of pages indexed. Any help would be great. Home Page .index.htm and .com Duplicate Page Content/Title
I have been whittling away at the duplicate content on my clients' sites, thanks to SEOmoz's pro report, and have been getting push back from the account manager at register.com (the site was built here and the owner doesn't want to move it). He says these are the exact same page and he can't access one to redirect to the other. Any suggestions? Duplicate page titles on Ecommerce
Hi, My question is in reference to an E-commerce site- Our SEO MOZ scan is showing many errors for Duplicates- such as Duplicate titles - The majority of these are on the products map- and the page titles are Products Map :: Company Name How do we get correct this or does Google not penalize for it? This is more of a technical question than pure SEO per se, but I am guessing that some folks here may have covered this and so I would appreciate any questions. I am moving from a WordPress.com-based blog (hosted on WordPress) to a WordPress installation on my own server (as suggested by folks in another thread here). As part of this I want to move from the format blog.<mydomain>.com to www.mydomain.com\blog. I have installed WordPress on my server and have imported posts from the hosted site to my own server. How should I manage the transition from first format to the second? I have a bunch of links on Facebook, etc that refer to URLs of the blog..com format so it's important that I redirect.</mydomain> I am running DotNetNuke/WordPress on my own IIS/ASP.Net servers.
