What is the best way to deal with an event calendar

I have an event calendar that has multiple repeating items into the future. They are classes that typically all have the same titles but will occasionally have different information. I don't know what is the best way to deal with them and am open to suggestions. Currently Moz anayltics is showing multiple errors (duplicate page titles, descriptions and overly dynamic urls). I'm assuming that it's showing duplicate elements way into the future. I thought of having the calendar no followed at all but the content for the classes seems valuable. Thanks,

A great completely and this is a good example of the type of difference changing the robots.txt file could make I would read all the information you can on it as it seems to be constantly updating. I used this info below as an example of a happy ending but to see the problems I would read all the stories you will see if you check out this link. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/max-cpu-usage/page/2 CPU usage from over 90% to less than 15%. Memory usage dropped by almost half, from 1.95 GB to 1.1 GB including cache/buffers. My setup is as follows: Linode 2GB VPS
 Nginx 1.41
 Percona SQL Server using XtraDB
PHP-FPM 5.4 with APC caching db requests and opcode via W3 Total Cache
 Wordpress 3.52
All in One Event Calendar 1.11All the Best, Thomas

I got the robots.txt file I hope this will help you. This is built into every GetFlywheel.com website they are a managed WordPress only hosting company website the reason they did this was the same reason Dan as described above. I'm not saying this is a perfect fix however after speaking with the founder of GetFlywheel I know they place this in the robots.txt file for every website that they host in order to try get rid of the crawling issue. This is an exact copy of any default robots.txt file from getflywheel.com Default Flywheel robots fileUser-agent: *

Hi Landon I had a client with a similar situation. Here's what I feel is the best goal; Calendar pages (weeks/months/days etc) - don't crawl, don't index Specific event pages - crawl and index Most likely the calendar URLs have not been indexed, but you can check with some site: searches. Assuming the have not been indexed, the best solution was to block crawling to certain URLs with robots.txt - calendars can go off into infinity, and you don't want to send the crawlers off into a black hole as it's not good for crawl budget, or for directing them to your actual content.

is this the all-in-one event calendar for WordPress? If so I can give you the information or you can just Google CPU Max WordPress essentially you have to change the robots.txt file so the crawlers don't have huge issues as they do now with it. Get flywheel has that built into their robots.txt file if that is your issue I can go in and grab it for you. Sincerely, Thomas

Besides this, take a look at the schema markup for Events it might help you mark up the page better so Google will understand what the page/ event is about: http://schema.org/Event

Are the same classes in the future link to the same page? are you using canonical tags correctly? Your URL should help diagnose the problem and guide you better,

Best way to handle Breadcrumbs for Blog Posts in multiple categories?
The site in question uses Wordpress. They have a Resources section that is broken into two categories (A or B). Underneath each of these categories is 5 or 6 subcategories. The structure looks like this: /p/main-category-a/subcategory/blog-post-name /p/main-category-b/subcategory/blog-post-name All posts have a main category, but other posts often have multiple subcategories while some posts also fall into both main categories. What would be the easiest or most effective way to auto-populate the breadcrumb based on from where the person reached the blog post? So for example, a way to set Home -> Main Category -> Subcategory 1 as the breadcrumb if they reach it from the Subcategory 1 landing page. Or is this not possible and we should just set the breadcrumb manually based on where we feel it best lives? Thanks. Technical SEO | | Alces0

If https is becoming important, should that be my main url? will it hurt my seo to switch? Thank you so much in advance!0

What is SEO best practice to implement a site logo as an SVG?
What is SEO best practice to implement a site logo as an SVG? Technical SEO | | twisme
Since it is possible to implement a description for SVGs it seems that it would be possible to use that for the site name. <desc>sitename</desc>
{{ STUFF }} There is also a title tag for SVGs. I’ve read in a thread from 2015 that sometimes it gets confused with the title tag in the header (at least by Moz crawler) which might cause trouble. What is state of the art here? Any experiences and/or case studies with using either method? <title>sitename</title>
{{ STUFF }} However, to me it seems either way that best practice in terms of search engines being able to crawl is to load the SVG and implement a proper alt tag: What is your opinion about this? Thanks in advance.1

Best Web-site Structure/ SEO Strategy for an online travel agency?
Dear Experts! I need your help with pointing me in the right direction. So far I have found scattered tips around the Internet but it's hard to make a full picture with all these bits and pieces of information without a professional advice. My primary goal is to understand how I should build my online travel agency web-site’s (https://qualistay.com) structure, so that I target my keywords on correct pages and do not create a duplicate content. In my particular case I have very similar properties in similar locations in Tenerife. Many of them are located in the same villa or apartment complex, thus, it is very hard to come up with the unique description for each of them. Not speaking of amenities and pricing blocks, which are standard and almost identical (I don’t know if Google sees it as a duplicate content). From what I have read so far, it’s better to target archive pages rather than every single property. At the moment my archive pages are: all properties (includes all property types and locations), a page for each location (includes all property types). Does it make sense adding archive pages by property type in addition OR in stead of the location ones if I, for instance, target separate keywords like 'villas costa adeje' and 'apartments costa adeje'? At the moment, the title of the respective archive page "Properties to rent in costa adeje: villas, apartments" in principle targets both keywords... Does using the same keyword in a single property listing cannibalize archive page ranking it is linking back to? Or not, unless Google specifically identifies this as a duplicate content, which one can see in Google Search Console under HTML Improvements and/or archive page has more incoming links than a single property? If targeting only archive pages, how should I optimize them in such a way that they stay user-friendly. I have created (though, not yet fully optimized) descriptions for each archive page just below the main header. But I have them partially hidden (collapsible) using a JS in order to keep visitors’ focus on the properties. I know that Google does not rank hidden content high, at least at the moment, but since there is a new algorithm Mobile First coming up in the near future, they promise not to punish mobile sites for a collapsible content and will use mobile version to rate desktop one. Does this mean I should not worry about hidden content anymore or should I move the descirption to the bottom of the page and make it fully visible? Your feedback will be highly appreciated! Thank you! Dmitry Technical SEO | | qualistay1

Best Practice on 301 Redirect - Images
We have two sites that sell the same products. We have decided to retire one of the sites as we'd like to focus on one property. I know best practice is to redirect apples to apples, which in our case is easily done since the sites sold the same thing. www.SiteABC.com/ProductA can be redirected to www.SiteXYZ.com/ProductA. My question is how far does that thinking go regarding images? Each product has a main product page, of course, and then up to 6 images in some cases. Is it necessary to redirect www.SiteABC.com/ProductA-Image1.jpg to www.SiteXYZ.com/ProductA-Image1.jpg? Or can they all be redirected to just the product page? Technical SEO | | Natitude0

		Best URL-structure for ecommerce store?
What structure will recommend to the product pages? Lets make an example with the keyword "Luxim FZ200" With category in url: Technical SEO | | gojesper
 www.myelectronicshop.com/digital-cameras/luxim-FZ200.html With /product prefix:
 www.myelectronicshop.com/product/luxim-FZ200.html Without category in url:
www.myelectronicshop.com/luxim-FZ200.html I have read in a blog post that Paddy Moogan recommend /lluxim-FZ200.html - i think i prefer this version too. But I can see that many of the bigger ecommerce stores are using a /product prefix before the product name. What is the reason for this? and what is best practice?0
