Whilst looking for link opportunities, I have noticed that the website has a few profiles from suppliers or accredited organisations. However, a search form is required to access these pages and when I type cache:"webpage.com" the page is showing up as non-indexed.

These are good websites, not spammy directory sites, but is it worth trying to get Google to index the pages? If so, what is the best method to use?

As others have mentioned, it sounds like these links have little potential value. You could always drop a few comment URLs, tweets, G+ posts to those pages to help them get indexed, but they would still pass very little authority and I can't say it would be worth the effort.

Perhaps you could contact those same Suppliers and offer to give them a testimonial or find some other way to get your company linked on a more prominent page of their website. Think about what you can offer of value for their website.

              Thanks guys.

I suspected the profiles wouldn't be worth indexing, but it's always worth getting a 2nd opinion. Just annoying as the links are already there on good websites, but not offering any link juice. Nevermind.

Oleg is correct, the crawlers have to be able to spider the page in order for them to find it.

There are a couple of ways round this but these are nasty, not fool proof and I wouldn't recommend them and as Oleg said the page probably doesn't have to much power anyway.

If your purely after this site for a link to pass juice don't waste your time, however if your after a link to generate sales, leads and revenue then still get the link.

Not all links should be about Google and ranking, obviously when link building don't break any of the SEO rules, but don't turn down the opportunity to generate sales, just because you won't get any link juice from the site doesn't make the link irrelevant.

If there is no direct way for the crawler to reach the page, it won't be indexed + if the page is so hard to reach, it probably wouldn't pass much authority onto your site.

I'd still get the link if it's on a good website for potential referral traffic but wouldn't worry about trying to get it indexed.

React.js Single Page Application Not Indexing

We recently launched our website that uses React.js and we haven't been able to get any of the pages indexed. Our previous site (which had a .ca domain) ranked #1 in the 4 cities we had pages and we redirected it to the .com domain a little over a month ago. We have recently started using prerender.io but still haven't seen any success. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue before?

Top hierarchy pages vs footer links vs header links

Hi All, We want to change some of the linking structure on our website. I think we are repeating some non-important pages at footer menu. So I want to move them as second hierarchy level pages and bring some important pages at footer menu. But I have confusion which pages will get more influence: Top menu or bottom menu or normal pages? What is the best place to link non-important pages; so the link juice will not get diluted by passing through these. And what is the right place for "keyword-pages" which must influence our rankings for such keywords? Again one thing to notice here is we cannot highlight pages which are created in keyword perspective in top menu. Thanks

Does a non-canonical URL pass link juice?

Our site received a great link from URL A, which was syndicated to URL B. But URL B is canonicalized to URL A. Does the link on URL B pass juice to my site? (See image below for a visual representation of my question) zgbzqBy

Do search engines crawl links on 404 pages?

I'm currently in the process of redesigning my site's 404 page. I know there's all sorts of best practices from UX standpoint but what about search engines? Since these pages are roadblocks in the crawl process, I was wondering if there's a way to help the search engine continue its crawl. Does putting links to "recent posts" or something along those lines allow the bot to continue on its way or does the crawl stop at that point because the 404 HTTP status code is thrown in the header response?

Do 404 Pages from Broken Links Still Pass Link Equity?

Hi everyone, I've searched the Q&A section, and also Google, for about the past hour and couldn't find a clear answer on this. When inbound links point to a page that no longer exists, thus producing a 404 Error Page, is link equity/domain authority lost? We are migrating a large eCommerce website and have hundreds of pages with little to no traffic that have legacy 301 redirects pointing to their URLs. I'm trying to decide how necessary it is to keep these redirects. I'm not concerned about the page authority of the pages with little traffic...I'm concerned about overall domain authority of the site since that certainly plays a role in how the site ranks overall in Google (especially pages with no links pointing to them...perfect example is Amazon...thousands of pages with no external links that rank #1 in Google for their product name). Anyone have a clear answer? Thanks!

                    100 + links on a scrolling page

Can you add more than 100 links on your webpage If you have a webpage that adds more content from a database as a visitor scrolls down the page. If you look at the page source the 100 + links do not show up, only the first 20 links. As you scroll down it adds more content and links to the bottom of the page so its a continuos flowing page if you keep scrolling down. Just wanted to know how the 100 links maximum fits into this scenario ?

Number of Indexed Pages are Continuously Going Down

I am working on online retail stores. Initially, Google have indexed 10K+ pages of my website. I have checked number of indexed page before one week and pages were 8K+. Today, number of indexed pages are 7680. I can't understand why should it happen and How can fix it? I want to index maximum pages of my website.

RSS feeds- What are the secrets to getting them, and the links inside then, indexed and counted for SEO purposes?

RSS feeds, at least on paper, should be a great way to build backlinks and boost rankings.  They are also very seductive from a link-builder's point of view- free, easy to create, allows you to specifiy anchor text, etc.  There are even several SEO articles, anda few products, extolling the virtues of RSS for SEO puposes. However, I hear anecdotedly that they are extremely ineffective in getting their internal links indexed.  And my success rate has been abysmal- perhaps 15% have ever been indexed, and so far, I havenever seem Google show an RSS feed as a source for a backlink.  I have even thrown some token backlinks against RSS feeds to see if that helped in getting them indexed, but even that has a very low success rate. I recently read a blog post saying that Google "hates aRSS feeds" and "rarely spiders perhaps the first link or two."  Yet there are many SEO advocates who claim that RSS feeds are a great untapped resource for SEO.  I am rather befuddled. Has anyone "crackedthe code" onhow to get them, and the links that they contain, indexed and helping rankings?
