Pagination loading with using AJAX. Should I change this?

Hello, while I was checking this site; http://www.disfracessimon.com/disfraces-adultos-16.html I found that the pagination is working this way http://www.disfracessimon.com/disfraces-adultos-16.html#/page-2
http://www.disfracessimon.com/disfraces-adultos-16.html#/page-3and content is being loaded using AJAX. So, google is not getting the paginated results. Is this a big issue or there is no problem?
Should I create a link for See All Products or there is not a big issue?Thank you!

Thank you so much! I noticed the problem with the canonical when I was auditing the site. I think is this is a major issue. Google seems to be omiting that, because it is still showing inner pages in its results. We are not sure about how this can be affecting the entire site rankings, but I think it is not good at all. We have addressed that and we hope the site improves its rankings soon. Thank you again for your advices!

Hi, In the specific example you give it's doesn't really matter - as all the pages of the pagination have a canonical pointing to the homepage. On top of that - the site indicates on every page that the alternate url for lang=es is the homepage as well. If this is your site, I would correct this - make the canonical self referencing & do the same for the alternate url (or just drop the alternate url if the site is only available in Spanish) To answer your question the link pointing to the next page is a plain html link: 2 so can be indexed by Google without major issues. On endless scrolling & pagination with Ajax in general - there is an interesting article on Google Webmaster Central: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.be/2014/02/infinite-scroll-search-friendly.html rgds, Dirk

Using H3 before or instead of an H2...
My designer and I have been having an argument: we have a blog with short, 400 words posts. They have an H1 with nice keywords and a catchy title, and then a few subheadings. I don't like making the subheadings H2, because the font looks way too large in Wordpress, so my designer wants to make them all H4s, so the font looks to be a nicer size. Here's my problem with that and why I usually just bold the subheadings: Is it really bad to put a bunch of H4s right under an H1, with not H2's or 3's to separate? I'm reading different arguments on the internet about this and gladly welcome more debate and/or case studies. Thank you! Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | genevieveagar0

Using the same image across the site?
Hi just wondering i'm using the same image across 20 pages which are optimized for SEO purposes. I was wondering is there issues with this from SEO standpoint? Will Google devalue the page because the same image is being used? Cheers. Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | seowork2140

Using CSS to hide anchor text
Hi all, In my website, I would like to use CSS to set the anchor text to "website design service"(my company provides web design service) but show the button text as "website", due to some artistic reasons. Therefore, the anchor text for the link is "website design service" but what users see is "websites". Does this sound spammy to Google? Is it a risky move that might hurt my SEO? Looking for some advises here. Thank you very much. Best, Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Raymondlee0

Sites in multiple countries using same content question
Hey Moz, I am looking to target international audiences. But I may have duplicate content. For example, I have article 123 on each domain listed below. Will each content rank separately (in US and UK and Canada) because of the domain? The idea is to rank well in several different countries. But should I never have an article duplicated? Should we start from ground up creating articles per country? Some articles may apply to both! I guess this whole duplicate content thing is quite confusing to me. I understand that I can submit to GWT and do geographic location and add rel=alternate tag but will that allow all of them to rank separately? www.example.com www.example.co.uk www.example.ca Please help and thanks so much! Block in robots.txt instead of using canonical?
When I use a canonical tag for pages that are variations of the same page, it basically means that I don't want Google to index this page. But at the same time, spiders will go ahead and crawl the page. Isn't this a waste of my crawl budget? Wouldn't it be better to just disallow the page in robots.txt and let Google focus on crawling the pages that I do want indexed? In other words, why should I ever use rel=canonical as opposed to simply disallowing in robots.txt? Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | YairSpolter0

Will using a service such as Akamai impact on rankings?
Howdy 🙂 My client has a .com site they are looking at hosting via Akamai - they have offices in various locations, e.g UK, US, AU, RU & in some Asian countries. If they used Akamai, would the best approach be to set up seperate sites per country: .co.uk .com .com.au .ru .sg etc Although my understanding is that Googlebot is located in the US so if it crawled any of those sites it would always get a US IP address? So is the answer perhaps to go with Akamai for the .com only which should target the US market and use different / seperate C class hosts for the others? Thanks!
