Hi there! Jo here, from the Moz Support team. Updated for 2021 Spam Score -- It's worth noting that a score of 1%-30% is considered a Low Spam Score, a score of 31%-60% is considered a Medium Spam Score, a score of 61%-100% is considered a High Spam Score. Moz's Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google (it's not based on the spam score of the sites linking to you). To improve this score I would recommend reading our guide which explains the 27 factors used to make up this score. You can then look at your site and investigate areas you would like to improve on your site:
https://a-moz.groupbuyseo.org/help/link-explorer/link-building/spam-scoreDisavowing or removing links is not a method for improving your Moz Spam Score. We don't have a way to identify links you've disavowed. Google doesn't make this information available through their Search Console API. Spam Score is percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google. Cheers, Jo

Back link from site with DA of 72 to a website domain. Clicking on the link redirects to our website not the attended one.
 Hi, Link Building | | JIMBO16
I've ran a back link check and discovered a good back link to a site which then gets redirected back to my company's website. I have a feeling that an old SEO agency has purchased a small website which has a decent link back from a relevant organisation with a high Domain authority and then redirects the domain to our website to get the link juice. What are your thought on this? Is this really bad practise and possibly damaging? Thanks, Jim0

		Dealing with spam link attack
Last year I noticed that overnight my site was backlinked by 1000's of spammy links. Link Building | | chuckstar_za
All with same anchor text and all really awful unrelated sites (law, money, mobile phone, pr0n sites, etc). I've not been hit with any penalties (or at least been messaged with anything to that effect), and I still float around top 10 for that anchor text, but I don't like having 1000's of spammy links with exact anchor text pointing to my site. Especially when all the other competitors have a fraction of the number of links. What would be the best way to combat these links before they do serious damage to my rankings.

Where can I find a list of the top DA websites on the web?
I'd like to find a ranking of the top DA websites on the web. I'm mostly interested in US websites. I'd like at least the top 10,000 or so but the more the better. Is there a way to get this data from OpenSiteExplorer or another source? The closest I've found is Double Click's listing of the top 1000 most_visited_ (not DA) websites: http://www.google.com/adplanner/static/top1000/ Thanks! Link Building | | Thumbtack0

Asking other websites to link your website when the want to be in your directory
Hello, We have 3 web directories, and I wonder if it is legal for search engines to ask people who want to be in the directory to link to a particular website in order to be in our directory. I mean, it is free adding the url in the directory but if they lwant to be in the directory they have to ink to a website we have decided. Link Building | | teconsite.com
Is this correct, or is punishable? Thanks!0
