For example I have a keyword - IPA Beer, and I have a keyword - IPA Beer Kit. If I use the keyword IPA Beer Kit will I get the benefit of the IPA Beer keyword as well as the IPA Beer Kit keyword? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes it will... As your long tail keywords also include short tail keywords in it. So yes you will get the credit for the same.

Combining two keywords in your content can potentially help you rank for both keywords, but it's not guaranteed. Search engines like Google analyze various factors to determine the relevance and authority of your content for specific keywords. Here are some steps you can take to optimize your content for multiple keywords:

Conduct Keyword Research: Identify relevant keywords that your target audience is searching for. Look for keywords with high search volume and low competition.

Create High-Quality Content: Develop informative and engaging content that incorporates your target keywords naturally. Ensure that your content provides value to your audience and addresses their needs or interests.

Use Keywords Strategically: Place your target keywords strategically throughout your content, including in the title, headings, meta tags, and body text. Avoid keyword stuffing, as this can negatively impact your rankings.

Optimize for User Intent: Consider the intent behind each keyword and tailor your content to meet the needs of users searching for those keywords. Provide helpful information, answer questions, and offer solutions to their problems.

Monitor Performance: Track the performance of your content using analytics tools to see how it ranks for your target keywords. Make adjustments as needed to improve your rankings over time.

While combining two keywords in your content can potentially help you rank for both, it's essential to focus on providing high-quality, relevant content that meets the needs of your audience. By following these best practices, you can increase your chances of ranking well for multiple keywords and driving organic traffic to your we

Yes, I will get credit in both targeted keywords, which will help rank those keywords as well.

With this practice, search bots could find more prefixes and suffix keywords. And increase the possibility of search engines.

I depends on Search Intent what people are searching like if you Search for SEO Expert or SEO Expert in Pakistan Both of these page have different intent.
So only using keywords does not fullfill it.

                      Of course!

When you use the “IPA Beer Kit” keyword, you can get the benefit of both the “IPA Beer” and “IPA Beer Kit” keywords. This is because "IPA Beer Kit" includes the keyword "IPA Beer" as part of it. So by optimizing for “IPA Beer Kit,” you are also covering the “IPA Beer” keyword. I hope this clears up your doubts!

When you say 'get credit' you mean, found in search?

By putting the two keywords together you will get found for both. It's a clever way of getting more information in the title.

So if someone searches: "IPA Beer" you have a good chance of being found. If someone searches 'IPA Beer Kit' that will be found also.

If it was me I would probably use: 'IPA Beer Kits' as more people will search the plural.

For goodness sake don't go away and create two pages. Especially if all the information should be combined on one page.

So don't have a page for 'IPA Beer' and another 'IPA Beer Kit, because you run the risk of being found for neither.

                          Regards

                          Nigel

                          Kind Regards

                              Hi there!

No, you will not have the benefit of both keywords.

In the case that you focus on **IPA beer kit, **Asuming that you rank really well for that search it is possible that you also rank well for the inner keyword: IPA beer.

Please keep in mind that Google advised not to create as many pages as keywords you want to target.

                              Hope it helps.
                              Best luck.

Inconsistent Keyword Search Volume & Difficulty Across Tools (e.g., Moz, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, Semrush)

                                keyword difficulty keyword explorer

Hi there, Moz Community! I'm reaching out for some guidance on keyword research discrepancies. I'm currently targeting the keyword "sui gas bill" for my blog, sngplbill, which focuses on information related to Sui gas bills. I've used several keyword research tools, including Moz, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, and Semrush, and each platform provides different search volume and keyword difficulty scores: Moz: No search volume data, Keyword Difficulty (KD) 24
Google Keyword Planner: Search volume 100k-1M, Difficulty (Low)
Semrush: Search volume 90k, KD 31
                                Ahrefs: KD 1 (Very Easy)
These varying results are causing some confusion. Ideally, I'd like to understand which platform offers the most reliable data for search volume and keyword difficulty. Here are some additional details that might be helpful: My target location: Pakistan My Questions: What factors might contribute to these discrepancies in keyword data across different tools?
Considering my niche (Sui gas bill information in Pakistan), which platform would you recommend for the most accurate search volume and keyword difficulty estimates?
Are there any additional factors to consider beyond search volume and keyword difficulty when selecting keywords for content strategy?
Any insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

What defines what words in a title are considered Keywords?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question. I'm curious how keywords are defined. Is every word in a title a possible keyword? If I have a keyword titled "Linear Shower Drain | 40" Long", does it take the whole thing as a keyword? Is just "Linear Shower Drain" the keyword? Would "Shower Drain" pop up as a keyword, since its nested in the title? Thank you in advance for your answers!

How granular should I get with Keyword research?

I'm doing KW research for a new business. My understanding from KW research guides: Use tools to create a list of thousands of keywords Analyze difficulty and search volume Reduce your list and do on page optimization for your select KWs My dilemma with this approach is that it seems "keyword based" rather than "intent" or "category" based. e.g. Let's say I have a grocery store. Ignoring SEO, I know that these are my main categories: Produce Meat Dairy Canned Goods Baked Goods In other words, the above categories are the general "intents" and "categories" that I'd really want to rank for. Keyword tool shows that they have high volume and high difficulty. Let's say that after doing keyword research, I discover "Low Fat Chicken Breasts" and "Turkey Sausage" and "Cheap Meat Wholesale" have decent search volume and low competition. I don't quite understand how I'm supposed to utilize these fringe keywords in my on page SEO plan because it doesn't make sense as a human to categorize my site that way. Not sure if this is clear. Basically I'm trying to figure out if I should really be getting this granular on keywords to help guide my store categories or if I should just be picking broader terms.

Like others, I have also been oblivious to the options which were uncovered in this article, using stars or underscores to uncover more keywords suggestions. Did any of you find a successful tool that automatically adds all the possible combinations of these wildcards to give a comprehensive lists of suggestions? I am looking for a tool that also included my country (.nl).

                                Setting Up a Keyword Matrix

Greetings MOZ community!! My real estate web site contains about 500 pages with perhaps 70 pages targeting low volume, somewhat valuable but not very competitive keywords. Three to four URLs target very competitive terms. The following  terms are among the most valuable: New York City office space,
                                New York office space,
                                Manhattan office space,
NYC office space Such variants as: Office space in New York City,
                                Office space in New York,
                                Office space in Manhattan,
                                Office space in NYC
ETCETERA convert really well How would I match different terms to different URLs? For example I have just re-written the following two critical URLs: www.nyc-officespace-leader.com (home page)
http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/commercial-space/office-space (product page) Would it make sense to use "Manhattan office space" and variants on the home page while excluding "New York City office space" variants? At the same time I would use "New York City office space" variants on the "office-space" product page while excluding all mention of "Manhattan office space". Is this logical and does it conform to SEO best practices? For the "NYC office space" terms I would add them to http://www.nyc-officespace-leader.com/listings. This URL has almost no text but a strong potential to rent because of a high number of incoming internal links. Is this approach sensible? In general what measures should I take to prevent URLs from competing for the same keywords? Also, is there a software package or tools that I can use to come up with keyword variants? As a non SEO professional, can I create my own keyword matrix or is this really in the realm of a professional SEO consultant? Thanks, Alan

                                Help finding some decent keywords

Anyone care to help a SEO Newbie find a couple of key words that would be easier to rank for for my website that provides kayak fishing information? mysite: yakangler.com The key words that I've identified are as follows: best kayak
                                fishing from a kayak
                                fishing kayak review
                                fishing kayaks
                                kayak and fishing
                                kayak fishing
                                kayak for fishing
                                kayak reviews
                                kayak rigging
                                kayak weight limit
                                kayaks fishing
kayaks for fishing But I'm worried I'm missing the point, I don't see hardly any traffic from most of these. I've really tried to rank for "kayak fishing" but seem to be totally lost in the Google Panda abyss. Any advice on a different word or strategy would be greatly appreciated!

                                Is "in" a keyword differentiator?

Does google view phrases with "in" in then as different keywords than the same phrase without an "in"? For example: is "great restaurants in chicago" the same keyword as "great restaurants chicago"? Whenever I do research on two phrases like this, they always come up with the same search volume.
