We are not sure that page does matter or not for google ranking as I am working for this keyword "flower delivery in Bangalore" from last few months and I saw some website's google first page who have low page speed but still ranking so I am really worried about my page that has also low page speed.

will my Bangalore page rank on google the first page if the speed is low and kindly suggest me more tips for the ranking best factors which really works in 2020 and one more thing that domain authority really matters in this year? as I also saw some websites with low domain authority and ranking on google's first page.

          Home page: Flowerportal

          Bangalore page: https://flowerportal.in/flower-delivery/bangalore/

focus Keyword is: Flower delivery in Bangalore, send flowers to Bangalore

The question of whether page speed matters for Google ranking is an issue that has been debated for years. The answer, like many SEO questions, is complicated and not black or white.

There are a lot of factors that go into the rankings algorithm (and there's no guarantee this will change anytime soon) but what we do know is that page speed does affect users' experience which in turn affects their perception of your site.

People who care about SEO should make sure their pages load quickly because it can improve user experience and build trust with them - two things Google considers when determining rank position. So if you're looking to increase your search engine visibility, take heed: improving your website's performance may just be as easy as updating some plugins.

For example, one of the website https://pktdesk.com/ ranked for the first position within a week due to the faster loading speed as it's hosted on DigitialOcean.

Pagespeed is important and it will be more and more, but I have seen super slow and poorly optimized websites in first positions forever ...

authority and seniority matter much more.

I hope to be of help, a greeting.

The loading speed of your mobile site has a significant effect on the experience of your visitors, and you should not optimize the speed of your desktop site and forget about it. If your mobile site takes more than 3 seconds to load , you need to do something about it. Statistics show that 53% of mobile users abandon a site that takes too long to load. A delay of just one second in page load time can reduce conversions by up to 7% , according to a report by Fast Company.

The speed of your mobile site is becoming more and more important, especially after Google released the Speed Update in July 2018 which made accelerated mobile pages a direct ranking factor.

For example you can check this Page Speed Score is 97% "best dart board cabinets 2020"

Increase the speed of your site's mobile page

Most of the tricks to increase the loading speed of your site are covered in our SEO guide on Load Time and will improve the speed of your site on any device. Here are some other tricks that will be particularly effective in increasing the speed of your mobile page.

                      Prioritize content over fold

The content that the user of your site will see first should take precedence over the content that they will likely see later. Therefore, the content at the top of the page must load before the content at the bottom of the page. This way, users will not be bothered by loading time, even if the page has not fully loaded. They may not even realize that the bottom portion has not been loaded when they first land on that page.

                      Minimize server response time

Server response time is the time it takes your server to respond to a browser request. Google recommends that your server response time be no more than 200 milliseconds. You can minimize response time by improving your server software and configuration.

                      Minimize redirects

You should avoid redirects as much as possible, as they slow the loading of a page, especially for mobile users, as they often use less reliable internet connections than desktop users.

                      Consider accelerated mobile pages

An Accelerated Mobile Page (AMP) is an HTML page that is very lightweight and therefore loads faster than a typical HTML page. AMPs exclude some elements from a basic HTML page, such as forms. Only items that are suitable for mobile users are uploaded. Images and other media are not uploaded until they are in view. This is what makes AMPs much faster than normal HTML pages.

AMPs are cross-platform compatible and cross-browser compatible. Using AMP can reduce your mobile site's loading time by up to 85%. Some sites that already use AMP include The Guardian, Gizmodo, and The Washington Post.

Decrease the weight of your site

The weight of the page and the quality of the user's internet connection significantly reduce the loading time of a page. To reduce the weight of the page, try to have as little information as possible on it. However, you must be careful not to compromise the relevance and quality of the information on the page in an attempt to minimize the amount of information.

With lightweight pages, even a user with a poor internet connection will be able to use your mobile site without much trouble. Lightweight pages also make it easier for a user to scroll through them. Heavy pages can present the challenge of scrolling lag which can be very frustrating.

Your site must be able to detect the type of device that is being used to access it and tailor the experience to suit the device. It should also be able to detect a bad internet connection and only upload the information that is absolutely necessary.

Google's speed update only affected pages with very slow loading speeds. This means that webmasters have to improve their game when it comes to improving the speed of their mobile sites. A mobile site with slow loading times will be abandoned by Google.

Yes, Page speed matters for google ranking. If your page is loading late then the bounce rate will be high that will not give a positive signal to Google.  That's why optimize your images and use light themes.

                              Of course its matter

let me show you a few samples. right now I'm searching a keyword on google "Best Vlogging Camera under 100"

Check Attachment for Live Proof of Top 3 Ranking Website. Image Name: Best Vlogging Camera under 100

Now I'm checking the first 3 website page speed.

You can check attachment file for "First Website, Second Website and 3rd Website"

the highest Page Speed Score is 93% "https://vloggingguru.com/best-vlogging-camera-under-100/" Now the question is why 2nd number ranking website has highest Page Speed score but still number second ranking. the reason is there has 200 ranking factors more that can help to rank a website. when you type on google "how many ranking factors does google have" you will get 200 ranking factors that google see in our website. Now we can say maybe the number second website misses something that number one ranking website did it for his website like Schema Markup or something others.

in the end, we can say "yes its matter" but we can never say it only page speed matter its 200 ranking factors also matter.

                              Thanks

Google has deindexed a page it thinks is set to 'noindex', but is in fact still set to 'index'

A page on our WordPress powered website has had an error message thrown up in GSC to say it is included in the sitemap but set to 'noindex'. The page has also been removed from Google's search results. Page is https://www.onlinemortgageadvisor.co.uk/bad-credit-mortgages/how-to-get-a-mortgage-with-bad-credit/ Looking at the page code, plus using Screaming Frog and Ahrefs crawlers, the page is very clearly still set to 'index'. The SEO plugin we use has not been changed to 'noindex' the page. I have asked for it to be reindexed via GSC but I'm concerned why Google thinks this page was asked to be noindexed. Can anyone help with this one? Has anyone seen this before, been hit with this recently, got any advice...?

My Website's Home Page is Missing on Google SERP

Hi All, I have a WordPress website which has about 10-12 pages in total. When I search for the brand name on Google Search, the home page URL isn't appearing on the result pages while the rest of the pages are appearing. There're no issues with the canonicalization or meta titles/descriptions as such. What could possibly the reason behind this aberration? Looking forward to your advice! Cheers

Home Page Ranking Instead of Service Pages

Hi everyone! I've noticed that many of our clients have pages addressing specific queries related to specific services on their websites, but that the Home Page is increasingly showing as the "ranking" page. For example, a plastic surgeon we work with has a page specifically talking about his breast augmentation procedure for Miami, FL but instead of THAT page showing in the search results, Google is using his home page. Noticing this across the board. Any insights? Should we still be optimizing these specific service pages? Should I be spending time trying to make sure Google ranks the page specifically addressing that query because it SHOULD perform better? Thanks for the help. Confused SEO :/, Ricky Shockley

How Does Google's "index" find the location of pages in the "page directory" to return?

This is my understanding of how Google's search works, and I am unsure about one thing in specific: Google continuously crawls websites and stores each page it finds (let's call it "page directory") Google's "page directory" is a cache so it isn't the "live" version of the page Google has separate storage called "the index" which contains all the keywords searched.  These keywords in "the index" point to the pages in the "page directory" that contain the same keywords. When someone searches a keyword, that keyword is accessed in the "index" and returns all relevant pages in the "page directory" These returned pages are given ranks based on the algorithm The one part I'm unsure of is how Google's "index" knows the location of relevant pages in the "page directory".  The keyword entries in the "index" point to the "page directory" somehow. I'm thinking each page has a url in the "page directory", and the entries in the "index" contain these urls.   Since Google's "page directory" is a cache, would the urls be the same as the live website (and would the keywords in the "index" point to these urls)? For example if webpage is found at wwww.website.com/page1, would the "page directory" store this page under that url in Google's cache? The reason I want to discuss this is to know the effects of changing a pages url by understanding how the search process works better.

                                  Blank pages in Google's webcache

Hello all, Is anybody experiencing blanck page's in Google's 'Cached' view? I'm seeing just the page background and none of the content for a couple of my pages but when I click 'View Text Only' all of teh content is there. Strange! I'd love to hear if anyone else is experiencing the same. Perhaps this is something to do with the roll out of Google's updates last week?! Thanks,
                                  Elias
