Redirect Issue - Drop in ranking after CMS change

After we moved the site from wordpress to codeIgniter + angular there has been a huge drop in traffic and ranking.
One of the thing we recently realized is the redirection - COULD THAT BE THE ISSUE?

On the browser and sitemap the URL doesn't have "/" at the end

When checked on redirection tool the URL seems to be redirecting to one with "/" at the end
Attached are the screenshots. Also moz bar shows no redirection. However, the issue seems to be flagged by the site audit tool as 301 redirection.
Not sure if it's the cause for the drop. What action to take?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Canonicals will help with the trailing slash issue, but that's not the sole reason for your traffic loss. Read up on Angular and address those issues first. It's definitely going to be a boatload of work, but the impact you'll see from that will far outweigh any smaller optimizations you're able to make.

yeah it's not over a year but almost. took it live 2nd week of Jan this year.
Yeah for some reason mozbar doesn't show the change. However if you notice the url it is dynamic. Also, there doesn't seem to be any drop in coverage or indexed pages in webmaster, which is strange in contrast to mozbar signal as if the entire site was treated as a static single page there should have been a huge drop in indexed pages?
But yeah, it mightn't be following the internal links. rather each url indexed individually from sitemap?
Also the browser url and sitemap has the url without "/" https://www.aasprint.com.au/sitemap.xml but indexed url's ends with "/" does this cause any issue?

Thanks will check the canonical. We did try disvow suspicious ones, however doing it fo all low pr pages might result further drop, isn't it?

You see that because the site is built to be a progressive web app, as seen in their Lighthouse Report.

This is rather interesting... none of my tools are able to pull data also. I did notice there is a pop up that got blocked on the site (screen shot) could that be the issue?

When did the redesign occur? I looked at the wayback machine and it looks like it was well over a year ago. It's concerning that you're still seeing rank/traffic issues.
I noticed that MozBar isn't able to grab a status code from the site, which is concerning. From the looks of things, you're using a version of Angular that isn't Google-friendly. When I click links on the site, none of the data in MozBar changes, which means Google likely isn't seeing anything different when they follow links either, effectively making your site a single page. Upon checking your site, I see that you do not have canonical tags on the website. You should implement canonical tags across your website. Also, you have a lot of links that are coming from blog comments, profile links, and web 2.0 sites which could be another reason why losing ranking due to the low-quality links. In addition, do you know what specific pages are losing traffic?

Is there any benefit to changing 303 redirects to 301?
A year ago I moved my marketplace website from http to https. I implemented some design changes at the same time, and saw a huge drop in traffic that we have not recovered from. I've been searching for reasons for the organic traffic decline and have noticed that the redirects from http to https URLs are 303 redirects. There's little information available about 303 redirects but most articles say they don't pass link juice. Is it worth changing them to 301 redirects now? Are there risks in making such a change a year later, and is it likely to have any benefits for rankings?

301 Redirect - Rank Recovery Examples?
Hi All, I recently did a 301 redirect. Page to Page and the notified google via its console. Its been 6 days since. The home page and one other high traffic page swopped out with the new domain on google search index with 3-4 drops in ranking for each. The rest of the sites pages have been indexed but still reflect the old domain when searched. Recently today my home page dropped even further to the second page of google index for the specific keyword. Can you share similar experiences and how long it took you to recover rank fully? and how long for all pages to swop out on google search's index? Regards Mike

Rankings rise after improving internal linking - then drop again
I'm working on a large scale publishing site. I can increase search rankings almost immediately by improving internal linking to targeted pages, sometimes by 40 positions but after a day or two these same rankings drop down again, not always as low as before but significantly lower than their highest position. My theory is that the uplift generated by the internal linking is subsequently mitigated by other algorithmic factors relating to content quality or site performance or is this unlikely? Does anyone else have experience of this phenomenon or any theories?

Positions dropping in SERPs after Title and Snippet change
Hi! I switched to a better title and meta description today for our page. Instead of ranking us better and displaying the new title - google let us fall from Position 10 to Position 16 (still dip laying the old title and meta description). Why is that? New Site (redesign) Launched Without 301 Redirects to New Pages - Too Late to Add Redirects?
We recently launched a redesign/redevelopment of a site but failed to put 301 redirects in place for the old URL's. It's been about 2 months. Is it too late to even bother worrying about it at this point? The site has seen a notable decrease in site traffic/visits, perhaps due to this issue. I assume that once the search engines get an error on a URL, it will remove it from displaying in search results after a period of time. I'm just not sure if they will try to re-crawl those old URLs at some point and if so, it may be worth it to have those 301 redirects in place. Thank you.

Is it normal to initially rank low in the SERPs, then over time gain rank?
We just released a very targeted page for a specific item about 18 hours ago. For the main keyword as well as multiple variations, we currently are ranking around # 40 to # 50 depending on what the exact query is. Is it normal to initially rank lower in the SERPs and then as the page ages, gain? Thank you for your insights!

Merging Sites: Will redirecting the old homepage to an internal page on the new site cause issues?
I've ended up with two sites which have similar content (but not duplicate) and target similar keywords, rather than trying to maintain two sites I would like to merge the sites together. The old site is more of a traditional niche site and targets a particular set of keywords on its homepage, the new site is more of an authority site with a magazine type homepage and targets the same set of keywords from an internal page. My question is: Should I redirect the old site's homepage to the relevant internal page on the new website...

(the old site's homepage backlinks are a mixture of partial match keyword anchor text, naked URLs and branded anchor text) I am in two minds (a & b!) (a) Redirecting to the internal page would be great for ranking as there are some decent backlinks and the content is similar (b) But usually when you do a 301 redirect the homepage usually directs to the new homepage and some of the old site's links are related to the domain rather than the keyword (e.g. http://www.site.com) and some people will be looking for the site's homepage. Sudden rank drop for 1 keyword
A page of mine (http://loginhelper.com/networks/facebook-login/) was ranking in the top 10 for keyword (facebook login) and has been for at least 2 months, moving between 5th and 10th. Suddenly in the last 3 days the rank for the keyword dropped from 7th to 46th, yet none of the other keywords have been affected (they target other pages) and their ranks have continued to improve. I am trying to figure out what caused this sudden drop in the ranking of 1 page (the page has quality mainly text based content and isn't in the least bit shallow or spammy) I have been thinking perhaps a crawl or server error may be to cause leaving the page temporarily unavailable or with a big load time... Otherwise what could cause one page to drop so much so quickly whilst other pages improved their rank?
