Unsolved Why Did My Site's DA Go Down After Adding New Links?

Hi Moz Community,
I've noticed my website's DA https://clean4u.org fell from 12 to 11 after adding a few links. I thought these were quality links, so I'm puzzled about the drop.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows why this could happen? Any advice or insight would be great!

@Arek_W I am working on a travel website and faced the same issue. Yesterday I created two company profiles on related and authoritative sources but my website DA Falls from 15 to 13. Unable to understand the reason.

Hi, it could be that the links are not that high-quality, some could be spammy links, so use various SEO backlink tools, moz we like the most, but also check on Majestic SEO, i think they allow you to run a free check, just check to see if those links are quality or not. if they are not? then talk to a SEO consultant, sometimes you can just pay for an hours worth of advice, and they can advise you on what to do. hope that helps? If you have say also, a WordPress website, lets say your cleaning business has 10 pages in total, build links also across the pages, not just the home page, but you do have to make sure every link is quality, white hat, or the website could move down on Google.

Hello. Our DA has dropped from 40 to 28. Why does moz take into account clear spam links. Not all links are created by website owners. Popular websites also see a lot of unknown spam linking. Do You Risk A Penalty From Local Paid Directories in 2022?
Hi there, I have a client who wants to advertise in a local directory along the lines of "find your nearest plumber". The directory only has paid listings and they are follow links and they also mention your site or generated landing page may get a nice bump on google. Is there a risk that they may get a penalty for using this directory? The client wants to use it regardless of if it gives them an SEO boost but obviously wants to avoid any penalties at all costs. EDU Links to my Site Never Show in Webmaster Tools
I have legit links from about a dozen .EDU sites. We do training for Universities. The links never show up in webmaster tools "Links to Your Site' and considering how many we have its amazing our rankings aren't better. It's almost as if google is ignoring them. Any thoughts?

How good is a backlink that's in the footer
Hello, The strongest site in our industry (according to domain authority and excluding wikipedia) said that they would put a sitewide link to us in their footer. We're good friends with them. It would be right next to the copyright. Our site is nlpca (dot) com The partner site is nlpu (dot) com The link will say something like "More NLP Training" with the "NLP" as the link. We're targeting the keyword "NLP" How much will this move us up for the keyword "NLP"? Right now we're on the 3rd page for that term. I also want to make sure that it's a white hat move. Thanks!
