I received a 126 Kodak Instamatic film camera as a gift from my aunt and uncle when I was five years old. Although I was young, this mature gift suited me just right. A childhood trip to Washington D.C. was my photography debut, and caused my parents to comment admiringly on my seemingly natural ability for what was later to become my passion.
I continued developing my talent throughout high school. In college, I received formal training in photography and made money as a “party picture girl,” taking photos at sorority and fraternity functions.
After graduating college in 1994, I was fortunate enough to work with several inspiring and accomplished mentors who helped me perfect my craft and establish myself as the professional photographer I am blessed to be today.
Photography is one of my great loves and sharing it with the world is what I set out to accomplish in this field. If you’ve never had an experience with a photographer that was liberating, relaxing, and enjoyable, I hope you will choose me to capture the next big or small moments of your ever expanding family and life. I have more than twenty years of experience as a photographer and consistently produce beautiful portraiture that my clients will love for years to come. I look forward to being a part of your journey.
Fun facts & Silliness … I was married to the love of my life in July of 2015. I’ve had a camera in my hand for over 40 years. I love Michael Jackson and am a proud fan of both trashy old television shows like Melrose Place as well as trashy new television shows like The Bachelor. My favorite snacks include Swedish Fish, Ring Pops, and sushi. I’m an avid lover of silly faces, 80’s music, anything that sparkles, mid-century modern design, and cooking for my friends and family.
