Is Removing Breadcrumbs Detrimental for SEO?

We have full navigational breadcrumbs on our site for the menu and the brand menu.
i.e. Home > Clothing > Jackets
Brand > Brand Name > Brand Jackets
There's been talk of removing this and having it like Chico's does, where on item pages they just have a link at the top to previous category (i.e. you're on a shirt product page and at the top it says "Back to Tops" instead of listing Home > Clothing > Tops)
Is doing something like this detrimental to SEO? From what I've read Breadcrumbs are for user experience but I just want to be sure.

If this was my site, I would be fighting to keep the breadcrumbs.

Yes it does help, definitely, I was just answering the "is it detrimental" question. You can also take advantage of breadcrumb Schema which helps also!

Thanks for your reply. In my research this morning I read on a couple of forums that breadcrumbs actually help the search engine crawl the site. Is that still true? The info might have been outdated.

No, this is not detrimental, but consider your users and what would be most beneficial to them. Just make sure from a site structure aspect, the site architecture makes sense and is easy to understand for crawlers.

Removing site subdomains from Google search
Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good week? My website has several subdomains that I had shut down some time back and pages on these subdomains are still appearing in the Google search result pages. I want all the URLs from these subdomains to stop appearing in the Google search result pages and I was hoping to see if anyone can help me with this. The subdomains are no longer under my control as I don't have web hosting for these sites (so these subdomain sites just show a default hosting server page). Because of this, I cannot verify these in search console and submit a url/site removal request to Google. In total, there are about 70 pages from these subdomains showing up in Google at the moment and I'm concerned in case these pages have any negative impacts on my SEO. Hi there, my company is exploring creating an online magazine built with Adobe's InDesign toolset. If we proceeded with this, could we make these pages "as spiderable" as normal html/css webpages? Or are we limited to them being less spiderable, or not at all spiderable?

Should 301-ed links be removed from sitemap?
In an effort to do some housekeeping on our site we are wanting to change the URL format for a couple thousand links on our site. Those links will all been 301 redirected to corresponding links in the new URL format. For example, old URL format: /tag/flowers as well as search/flowerswill be 301-ed to, new URL format: /content/flowers**Question:**Since the old links also exist in our sitemap, should we add the new links to our sitemap in addition to the old links, or replace the old links with new ones in our sitemap? Just want to make sure we don’t lose the ranking we currently have for the old links.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've got a client that wants a site with all content in iFrames. They saw another site they liked & asked if we could do it. Of course we can technically. How big a negative hit would they take with SEO? Is there anything we can do to mitigate it, such as redirects, etc? Thanks for the help!
