Finding long-tail keywords is essential for expanding your website's search visibility and capturing more targeted traffic. Here are some best practices to discover long-tail keywords effectively:

Use Google Autocomplete and Related Searches:
Start typing your main keyword into Google's search bar, and observe the autocomplete suggestions that pop up. These suggestions are based on actual user queries and can provide valuable insight into long-tail variations of your primary keywords. Additionally, scroll to the bottom of the search results page to find the "Searches related to..." section for more keyword ideas.

            Analyze Competitors' Keywords:
Look at the keywords your competitors are targeting, especially those who are ranking well in your niche. Tools like Moz Keyword Explorer, SEMrush, or Ahrefs can help you identify the keywords your competitors are ranking for. Analyze their content and identify long-tail keywords they may be targeting.

            Utilize Keyword Research Tools:
Leverage keyword research tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest to identify long-tail keyword variations. These tools provide data on search volume, competition, and related keywords, helping you discover valuable long-tail opportunities.

            Explore "People Also Ask" Section:
When you search for a keyword on Google, you'll often see a "People Also Ask" section that provides related questions. These questions can be excellent sources of long-tail keyword ideas. Answering these questions comprehensively in your content can also improve your chances of ranking for them.

            Review Your Website Analytics:
Analyze the search terms that are already bringing traffic to your website. Your website analytics platform (such as Google Analytics) can provide valuable insights into the specific long-tail keywords that users are using to find your site. Optimize your content around these keywords to further enhance your visibility.

            Consider User Intent:
Focus on understanding the intent behind the search queries. Long-tail keywords often reflect specific user intents or needs. Tailor your content to address these intents effectively, providing valuable solutions or information to users.

            Long-Tail Keyword Generators:
Some tools specialize in generating long-tail keyword suggestions based on a seed keyword. These tools can be helpful when you're looking for more niche-specific or less competitive keyword variations.

By incorporating these strategies into your keyword research process, you can identify a diverse range of long-tail keywords that can help attract targeted traffic to your website and improve your overall search visibility.

I'm keen on expanding my reach to include more long tail keywords. Check out our article on the best brother sewing machines at sewnscissors for further insights.

The best way to find long tail keywords is actually to start with the “head” keywords, and find out their related SEO inventory. If you’ve already started a startup or run an online business, then you probably have done some keyword research before. Put your keywords into the Google Search Console’s Keyword Planner and see how many searches they get. (Be sure to select “Exact Match” so you don’t include searches that include misspellings or synonyms.)

For example, let’s say I want to rank for the keyword phrase “weight loss". It's very hard to rank for such a phrase, so it's better to aim at longer phrases like "weight loss apps for android", etc.

At SUSO we usually focus on long-tail keywords and low-hanging fruits first, as they're the best place to begin rank spikes.

Ranking for keywords in multiple zip codes

Hello, We are trying to rank for keywords locally. We are on the edge of four zip codes in our area and are competing with businesses in those zip codes. Should we track each keyword separately for each zip code, or just one zip code we're in?

                Tool for wildcard keyword suggestions

Like others, I have also been oblivious to the options which were uncovered in this article, using stars or underscores to uncover more keywords suggestions. However, I am trying to find a way to avoid the manual labour. Did any of you find a successful tool that automatically adds all the possible combinations of these wildcards to give a comprehensive lists of suggestions? I am looking for a tool that also included my country (.nl).

Why does this keyword have much greater volume in Bing Keyword Research Tool than Google AdWords Keyword Planner?

I'm using the Google AdWords keyword planner and Bing Webmaster Keyword Research tool. For both, I'm trying to get accurate search volume for the exact term "advertising sales". Over the last thirty days, Bing reports a volume of  5,988. Google's average monthly search volume is 880. Given the market share Google has, I would expect a much higher volume, especially when compared to Bing. Can you offer some ideas of why this might be happening?

                Longtail keyword definition seems fuzzy?

So we all know about longtail keyword vs. short tail. However, it seems that the definition is a bit inconsistant. Some people say longtail keywords are keywords that get very low amounts of traffic, others that they are key phrases with 2 or more words. And others add to this that they have high conversion rate but describe specific features, product, service, model # etc. In an ideal model I suppose all of these things would be true. As keyword length increases, traffic tends to decrease, keyword is more specific pointing at features, model#, specific product etc and therefore the conversion rate is a bit higher as well. However, the data isn't a perfect curve. I will see keywords that get 18,000 searches but have 4 words. And then I will see single word key phrases that get <10 -20 searches a month. What am I to consider these? Its like they fit half the criteria. Any comments on this would be helpful and appreciated. I suppose the real question I am after is - it seems like the real definition of a long tail keyword cant be any of the above traits of a long tail keyword. How do you really define a long tail keyword in all circumstances (without it being this subjective idealized definition based on a perfect model) and where would the keyword circumstances (lots of words but high traffic, and low traffic but 1 word) fall in the graph? Center?

                Keywords for multi service business?

New to this so bear with, I am a TV aerial, satellite, CCTV, Door entry, Access Control, Telephone repair engineer. I have one seperate page for each of the installations I carry out as well as the basic home, about, areas, faqs and so on. My question is do i have one key phrase for each of the services  i cover or do i just relate all the keywords from that service into the keywords tag ie, META name=keywords content="Digial aerials Stockport, digital aerials Manchester, aerials Stockport, aerials Manchester, aerial repairs Stockport, aerial repairs Manchester, digital, aerial,tv,tv aerials Manchester,tv aerials Stockport, arials, arial, aerial installer, aerial installations, aeril installation,Stockport,Manchester ,"> That is what i have fro Tv aerial installation, Should i make landing pages for each phrase for each service or stick to one page? www.redvalecommunications.co.uk is the site if you want to take a look thanks in advance
