Recommended number of blog posts per page?
-
Good day!
We want to have your suggestions here.
What's your recommended (best) number of blog posts per page? Thanks!
-
c. or set the number of blog posts per page lesser. (7-10?) and use different MD per page.
and sure to get more advice from experts too !
I correcting my 404 errors recently, and will use the Meta Description tag !

Thanks for the response Sri Ganesh,
This is our logblog, http://robinwadefurniture.com/logblog
Actually, this question arose because;
We are starting to make our site SEO-friendly. From Moz's crawl error report, we had 1000+ Missing Meta Description Error. We are using Squarespace, the setting for MD is per page. Our current number of blog posts per page is 20. We are confused.
These are our option: (Help us figure out please)a. Set ONE (1) Meta Description for all of the blog posts.
b. Leave our logblog as it is, 20 posts per page, so 1 MD per 20 posts(per page)
c. or set the number of blog posts per page lesser. (7-10?) and use different MD per page.
Also, we are starting to fix our site's interface, if you have more suggestions, it will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Which Blog Type you are working ?
If it's magazine then 7 recent post and feature slider with 4-5 post.or else if you a static page and you can add upto 7-10. but if you have a large thumbnail like 600px width and 300px height then use 5 for better page load and even you used CDN !
I used 7 recent post in our homepage. and tag archive as 10 and category wise 10. if you are WordPress using blogger this will help.
My blog loads in 2.5s to 6s depend on the theme also !

On-page SEO
This is a question for the organic SEO experts, once you added the main keyword that you want to rank for in the homepage title, meta title plus meta description, perhaps once or twice in the text on the homepage. How often do you then write it in the content marketing, say blog posts, we want to rank higher on Google for "SEO agencies Cardiff" however if you mention this in the blog posts too much say once a week, this could lead to over optimisation issues?

How to overcome blog page 1, 2, 3, etc having no or duplicate meta info?
As the above what is the best way to overcome having the same meta info on your blog pages (not blog posts) So if you have 25 blog posts per page once you exceed this number you then move onto a second blog page, then when you get to 50 you then move onto a 3rd blog page etc etc So if you have thousands f blog pages what is the best method to deal with this rather than having to write 100s of different meta titkes & descriptions? Cheers

Post url not matching with post title ( wordpress)
I have this site called searchoflife.com on which I have noticed the post urls are not matching with the post title. For Example:Post Title - A Dialogue With NaturePost URL - http://searchoflife.com/dialogue-nature-2013-09-12 Words like 'A' and 'with' are not present in the post URL. This has been the trend since a few days. After investigating I found out that it was due to my plugin SEO ultimate which is actually creating post slugs automatically for the post urls. So my question is whether it is advisable to use post slugs instead of the full post url. Does it affect the SERPS for my site?

Blog.mysite.com or mysite.com/blog?
Hi, I'm just curious what the majority think of what's the best way to start a blog on your website for SEO benefits. Is it better to have it under a sub domain or a directory? Or does it even matter?

Should I use my blog posts in a sub folder
Ok I did a search and didn't see an answer to this exact question. Most of them were about if a blog should be in a sub folder and not the blog posts themselves... so here it goes. I have a blog on my website the blog itself is in /blog/ but the blog posts themselves are situated in the root folder so it looks something like mydomain.com/cool-seo-blog-post/ Is there any reason I should change this and make it read mydomain.com/blog/cool-seo-blog-post/

Would it be bad to change the canonical URL to the most recent page that has duplicate content, or should we just 301 redirect to the new page?
Is it bad to change the canonical URL in the tag, meaning does it lose it's stats? If we add a new page that may have duplicate content, but we want that page to be indexed over the older pages, should we just change the canonical page or redirect from the original canonical page? Thanks so much! -Amy
