I'd like to get some recommendations on self-paced SEO courses. They need to be online, and they need to be rather advanced. Moz has perks for both Distilled U and Market Motive. Has anyone gone through these? What are the differences in format, content, etc.?

Our company (Market Campus) launched in the summer of 2014 and our students have had amazing success. From students who knew very little about digital marketing and wanted to start a career to companies sending their employees to be re-trained. We've been getting so much demand to launch an online solution we are getting ready to launch our first ever online course. You can check out our pricing options by clicking here. The issue we found with many of the popular online courses out there is there is zero direction. They are pricey subscriptions packed with content and no path for the user. Our course was designed specifically with a path that we've designed to take you to beginner to pro. The reviews and feedback we've received has been awesome. It really is an amazing program and takes an entirely new (and much more effective) approach to teaching digital marketing. If you have any questions shoot us an email at [email protected]

Hey Justin, I went through Market Motive and I Loved it. I had what I though a decent understanding of SEO but my knoledge now in comparison is next level. Content is great! They really explain everything well in all their video modules. The quick quiz's are nice to make sure I'v learnt the key concepts. In my opinion their content is very to date consider the ever changing world of SEO. You'll find a few inconsistencies VS. new best practice but for the most part it's very accurate. I can't speak for distilled but it's a huge plus to have OMCP certification after passing the final test. Great thing to use for clients and email signatures. I just got my first Audit + Ongoing client and I couldn't have done it without their training. Hope that helps!

Hey Justin, I've done the complete DistilledU training. It's advanced in sections and at times, very basic. It's pretty much covers everything tho. It's very much learn at your own pace, as is MarketMotive and I have all my strategists or consultants work through Distilled and Moz as part of the their training for in house work. I don't know anyone who has done the Market Motive courses, but I can tell you after spending a little more time on it today, that I will be going through and possibly ordering it. We are also HubSpot certified as an agency so many of these certifications would benefit that tie we have with their products. My guess, the advanced training you would be looking for - would be MarketMotive.com as I am looking at it myself for our agency and our teams! That's my 2 cents I plan on getting budgets set aside and getting it all lined up. I'm sold and going to move it into the pipeline. I plan on getting budgets set aside and getting it all lined up. I had a look at Distilled U and while it caters for all levels, there is a fair bit of advanced content. I was under the impression that there was a free trial for this, but could be wrong. i can only speak for this, but I found it well paced with good examples and explanations. -Andy

		Lightboxes and SEO
Do lightboxes (AKA popup boxes when you click "learn more" type CTAs) have any negative effect on SEO? We are looking at revamping our sites to have more of a tiled approach, and a lightbox with summary content popping out with additional CTAs, directing to pages with more information or free trial pages. Is there any downside to this approach from an organic perspective? is there anything specific to keep in mind when creating these if not? Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Chris81980

		Merging Pages and SEO
Hi, We are redesigning our website the following way: Before: Page A with Content A, Page B with Content B, Page C with Content C, etc Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | viatrading1
e.g. one page for each Customer Returns, Overstocks, Master Case, etc
 Now: Page D with content A + B + C etc.
e.g. one long page containing all Product Conditions, one after the other So we are merging multiples pages into one.
What is the best way to do so, so we don't lose traffic? (or we lose the minimum possible) e.g. should we 301 Redirect A/B/C to D...?
Is it likely that we lose significant traffic with this change? Thank you,0

Local SEO - two businesses at same address - best course of action?
Hi Mozzers - I'm working with 2 businesses at the moment, at the same address - the only difference between the two is the phone number. I could ask to split the business addresses apart, so that NAP(name, address, phone number) is different for each businesses (only the postcode will be the same). Or simply carry on at the moment, with the N and Ps different, yet with the As the same - the same addresses for both businesses. I've never experienced this issue before, so I'd value your input. Many thanks, Luke Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | McTaggart0

Changing Servers + Effect on SEO
Hi, I am currently with a very slow server. Our website takes quite a while to load, FTP is very slow and content changes with Wordpress are slow because even the database connection takes a lot of time. However, my website ranks very well. Traffic has doubled in the last year. Our domain has been registered with this company for over 10 years. I am wondering if changing to a different hosting provider would have an effect on my rankings due to the change in IP. Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | MangoMan160

		Web fonts & SEO
Hi everyone ! My question is regarding web fonts. We are currently working on a new design for our website and we're thinking about using web fonts instead of images containing the fonts we'd like to have. I'd like to know if web fonts can affect SEO as they need to be downloaded on the visitor's computers and consequently can slow down the load time of our web pages. If anyone has used web fonts in the past, do you have some specific tips to share ? Thank you in advance for your answers!
