How do Maximize WordPress with 2 SEO Plugins

I have 2 WordPress SEO Plugins, Yoast and All-in-One SEO. I have tried like heck to make them work together, but every time I crawl my site here, I get multiple error messages. My question is, how can I tweak the title settings to avoid having multiple meta desctiptions, titles etc.

I agree with the previous answers. Just stick to one plugin. Besides, WP plugins use up server resources so try to keep only the really necessary. Personally I use Yoast's and works well. Make sure you have the latest version (0.4.2) since the previous one gave TONS of errors when trying (failing) to generate the sitemap xml.
Yoast's plugin is particularly good since everything is integrated, so the sitemap is coherent with the canonicals and the noindex etc etc. Otherwise, you'll have one plugin dictating, say, one canonical for a page and the other plugin a different thing (hypothetically, at least) which is obviously not good.

I have switched all of my websites to Yoast Wordpress SEO exclusively, and would highly suggest not using both SEO plugins at the same time. I chatted with Joost at length via Skype about a similar situation, and I can assure you it is against your best interest to try and use both.
While I am a fan of AIOSEO, I have found the Yoast plugin does everything and more and love it.
They are not meant to work together so your time would be wasted attempting to do so. Just make sure you are maximizing each plugin. I would recommend working with Yoast.

Why do you need both plugins? I would pick the one I like and then deactivate the other.

2 antivirus softwares cannot work on a single machine. Say u have Norton and FSecure. fSecure wil show Norton as a threat and Norton wil show fSecure as threat.
Similarly, when u have 2 SEO plugins activated on the same WP installation, each will try to override the other plugin's setting and thus causing the errors you are currently seeing. I have been using "All-in-one-SEO" and I have been very satisfied so far. Never found a need of another one. Just try deactivating the Yoast, and your errors should disappear.

Is NitroPack plugin Black Hat SEO for speed optimization
We are getting ready to launch our redesigned WP site and were considering using NitroPack performance optimization plugin, until some of our developers started ringing the alarm. Here is what some in the SEO community are saying about the tool. The rendering of the website made with the NitroPack plugin in the Page Metric Test Tools is based entirely on the inline CSS and JS in the HTML file without taking into account additional numerous CSS or JS files loaded on the page. As a result, the final metric score does not include CSS and JavaScript files evaluation and parsing. So what they are saying is that a lot of websites with the NitroPack plugin never become interactive in the Page Metric Tools because all interactivity is derived from JavaScript and CSS execution. So, their "Time to Interactive" and "Speed Index" should be reported as equal to infinity. Would Google consider this Black Hat SEO and start serving manual actions to sites using NitroPack? We are not ready to lose our hard-earned Google ranking. Please, let me know your thoughts on the plugin. Is it simply JS and CSS "lazy loading" that magically offers the first real-world implementation that works magic and yields fantastic results, or is it truly a Black Hat attempt at cheating Google PageSpeed Insights numbers? On site issues after Magento 2 launch
We did a new site launch on Feb 7th this year - www.vesternet.com It changed from Magento 1 to Magento 2. We had some launch issues around SEO but now we've solved most every crawler issue in Moz reporting - according to Moz we're in better shape on-site than ever. But our organic search is just dropping daily - we expected a drop after launch then back to normal, but over 2 months on something just isn't right. A good example, on Google UK for keyword 'home automation' we've always been about position 10, but now we're out the top 50... Forget about off site for now - what's wrong with our site itself to have caused this? Can anyone help with insights please as this is killing our sales

Do Blog Tags affect SEO at all anymore?
We're trying to standardize the use of tags on our site amongst writers/editors, and I'm trying to come up a list of tags they can choose from to tag posts with - and telling them to use no more than 10 (absolute maximum) per post. We are also in the process of migrating to a new CMS, and have 8 defined categories that will all have their own landing page within our "News" section. TLDR: Do blog tags have any impact on SEO anymore? Are they solely meant to help users find articles related on popular topics, or does creating a tag for a popular topic help to improve organic visibility? Full Question: With the tag standardization, I want to make sure we're creating the most useful and effective tags; and the UX/SEO sides of my brain are conflicted. To my understanding, creating a tag about a high volume topic in an industry helps establish the website's relevance to Google/other search engines about that topic and improves overall relevance; but the tag feed page (ex: http://freshome.com/tag/home-protection/) isn't really meant for organic search visibility. So my other question is, is it worth it to noindex the tag pages in the robots.txt? Will that affect any benefit to increased relevance for Google (if there is any)? I'm interested to hear others' thoughts and suggestions. Thanks in advance!

SEO audit on a beta site
HI there, Is there much point conducting an SEO site audit on a site that has not yet launched and is protected behind a login? Presumably none of the usual SEO tools (Moz, Screaming Frog etc) can crawl this site becuase it is all locked behind a login. Would it be better to launch it and then do a site audit? Thanks

Wordpress & trailing slash on domain name
Hi recently changed my site so it is based on Wordpress, got my preferred domain set in Google webmaster as www.domian.co.uk but since moving to wordpress my domain is now having a slash put on the end of it like www.domain.co.uk/ Most of the links going to my homepage do not have the slash on the end so am I right in thinking I should get rid of the slash from my site so I have one consistent url? If so any ideas how to banish the slash? Cannot seem to do it through the Wordpress general settings (despite preferred domain being set as www.domain.co.uk !) Thanks T
