SEO for Explicit / Medical Pictures - Will It Hurt Rankings?

I have a client with page 1 rankings for several keywords. He wants to make some updates to his website.
He is offering a new service and wants to show before and after photos of the procedure. He is an OB/GYN, so the before/after pictures are very explicit and have full nudity.
How will this affect his rankings? Is there something that I can do to tell Google and other SE's that these photos are medical and not pornographic? Should I host them on another domain? Just looking for thoughts and insight. Thank you in advance!

Thanks for your response. A few weeks ago we actually posted the pictures right on the page. This page is indexed / followed- everything. Google hasn't penalized the site or anything like that. If anything, it is helping his visitors by showing his work. So I guess until Google can "see" the image, keeping them on the page will be the best option. Thanks!

This is off the cuff - but may help your approach to this. (I too have a medical client)
We know Google can't see the image (yet!!)
It can read the jpg file name and alt tag
Two ideas:
If it is a new service why not password protect the area with sensitive photos
or
Create a link which takes them to a gallery. Explain the link is to a gallery with photos that may be distressing.
that they click agree to continue and could always have a data capture to prevent children finding it
You could then have the gallery pages with a no follow robot so the page is not cached and they aren't found through any search, and that way you can still optimise the rest of the site / or hold onto your existing rankings
Further to this if there were any 'before' and 'after' photos that could be displayed - they could be done in page and the link for more case studies underneath.
Also
If you were concerned about any language you may have to use embed it in a graphic button.

Is getting views to an infographic through Imgur beneficial to SEO?
I'm considering posting infographics to Imgur in addition to hosting them on my site in an effort to leverage Reddit a bit more this year. My concern is that, if all goes well, we'll get a ton of views through Reddit to Imgur, maybe a couple clickthroughs to the site, and links to (probably) the Imgur page. I don't see that Imgur gives your profile a followed link, so how would any of this help SEO. I assume it would, because respected guys like John Dougherty espouse the benefits of Reddit, but I can't see how and I need to justify the effort to my department head.

Vimeo Pro, video SEO and rich snippets
Hi All, we are producing product demonstration videos. One major aim with these videos is to help our rankings for these specific product pages and associated keywords... and to get rich snippets displayed on Google results pages against our listing. We have used schema.org markup in the product pages body code along with / next to the embed vimeo video code on the product page in order to hopefully get us rich snippet listing... we used schema.org markup as this seems to be the main current markup for rich snippets we have hosted the video via Vimeo Pro so that it is served quickly and not affected by speed of our hosting server or any possible bandwidth issues on our hosting server and ensure sthat the traffic comes to our site pages rather then Youtube or similar Vimeo Privacy settings for the video have been set so that we have not allowed it to be embed anywhere except for our own domain and the video is not displayed on Vimeo.com to ensure that the video is not duplicated anywhere else... so that this is unique content on our own site for maximum value for our domain We have used the "old code" from Vimeo Pro for embedding the video on our product page rather than the current iframe code as from what i understand Google cant follow very well and doesn't necessarily trust content displayed in iframes. Local SEO address question - adding a suite number for shared address for office building
Hi, I have a client that has an address that is shared for a few different businesses in the holistic health field. My client is a chiropractor. There is an eye doctor, massage therapist and acupuncturist aslo sharing the same address. It's a subburban setting with two buildings all sharing one address. In the interest of preventing any merged listings down the road, I recently added un unofficial suite number to his website and Google places business listing. I also did this for all of his online directory listings, and for Bing and Yahoo as well. Did I do the right thing here? It seems to be having a positive impact on his local SEO as far as I can tell. Or at least there has not been any negative impact in the last 6 months Your thoughts?
