Martin A. Smith earned his Bachelor Degree in Communications from Howard University in 1992. His career in personal finance began in 1993, as a Registered Representative of PFS Investments, Inc. Martin joined A.G. Edwards & Sons as a Financial Advisor and was later promoted to the position of Assistant Branch Manager.
In 2003, personal finance professional Martin A. Smith founded Wealthcare Financial Group, Inc. as a financial planning and investment advisory firm, to primarily serve the needs of business owners and families. However, today Wealthcare Financial Group, Inc. also serves non-profit and Faith-based organizations, including associations and foundations.
As a fee only financial advisor, Martin is committed to providing each client with values-based personal finance advice and custom-tailored service. The need for clients to receive prudent advice and high quality service is also the basis for Martin’s business philosophy; “How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver!” (Proverbs 16:16), which is the inspiration for his blog, Answers About Wealth, site where readers can receive trusted advice from professional advisors.
