 I want to optimise the logo on our site. Our developers have presently got the site logo code like this: 601 character description, no keywords 1. How best to use the alt text and description? 2. Do I concentrate on alt text? Isn't the 601 character description:
 a) too long, and
 b) an opportunity to add relevant keywords again, like the alt text?

 I would use schema on the URL, so Google knows what you want to appear as your logo. However, the description is not as necessary. script type="application/ld+json"> {"@context": "http://schema.org/",
 "@type": "Organization",
 "url": "http://www.yourcompany.com/",
 "logo": "http://www.yourcompany.com/logo.png"
 }If you use <a class="selected" data-selects="microdata">Microdata</a> schema you will have your description show up on your page you want that? ACME Hotel Innsbruckalt="hotel logo" /> A beautifully located business hotel right in the heart of the alps. Watch the sun rise over the scenic Inn valley while enjoying your morning coffee. alt="Company name"/> alt="image description" title="image tooltip"/> Alt text is best when always used but you do not want to make it too long. Three words should suffice at most As far as a description goes under your logo that's a choice you in your designer have to speak about I would think it would look a little odd. Keep in mind "Each image should have an alt text. Not just for SEO purposes but also because blind and visually impaired people otherwise won’t know what the image is for. A title attribute is not required. It can be useful but in most cases, leaving it out shouldn’t be much of an issue." - https://yoast.com/image-seo-alt-tag-and-title-tag-optimization/ (ALT TEXT)

		Auto generated meta description tag in Drupal
 Was having issues on Drupal not autogenerating a meta description tag, but I think I have figured it out. Just to verify, would this piece of code be the meta description tag (reason I ask is b/c it looks a little different than the usual tag I have seen): Technical SEO | | kevgrand0

		Does anchor text penalty apply to internal links?
 We already know that over optimsied anchor text for external will cause a penalty. But what about internal links? All of our blog posts include an advertisement linking sales pages. These links all use the exact same anchor text. Is linking to an internal page from so many other pages (blog posts) likely to trigger a penalty? Here is an example: http://www.designquotes.com.au/business-blog/four-ways-to-enhance-your-e-commerce-site-for-busy-shoppers/ This links to http://www.designquotes.com.au/web-design-quotes Many of the posts link to the same page using the anchor text "Compare Web Design Quotes from Local Designers." What is the best way to find missing alt tags on my site (site wide - not page by page)?
 I am looking to find all the missing alt tags on my site at once. I have a FF extension that use to do it page by page, but my site is huge and that will take forever. Thanks!! Technical SEO | | franchisesolutions1

		#hashtag Anchor text within content
 Hi, i have a question about anchor text within my sites content. It 'jumps' to content displayed further down the page via a side navigation at the top. These links don't take you away to any other page, instead take you further down the page to the relavent content. My question is this: I've noticed in the URL that the anchor text - #jumpnavlink is placed at the end of the pages URL like so.. www.mywebsite.com/example-page.php#jumpnavlink Is this creating a problem for duplicate content? Technical SEO | | SeoSheikh
 Is it creating a new URL for viewers to use?
 Is it ok to have lots of these running throughout my sites content pages? Many thanks for any light that is shed on this one! Cheers

		Why has Google removed meta descriptions from SERPS?
 One of my clients' sites has just been redesigned with lots of new URLs added. So the 301 redirections have been put in place and most of the new URLs have now been indexed. BUT Google is still showing all the old URLs in the SERPS and even worse it only displays the title tag. The meta description is not shown, no rich snippet, no text, nothing below the title. This is proving disastrous as visitors are not clicking on a result with no description. I have to assume its got something to do with the redirection, but why is it not showing the descriptions? I've checked the old URLs and he meta description is definitely still in the code, but Google is choosing not to show it. I've never seen this before so I'm struggling for an answer. I'd like to know why or how this is happening, and if it can be resolved. I realise that this may be resolved when Google stops showing all the old URLs but there's no telling how long that will take (can it be speeded up?) Technical SEO | | Websensejim0

		What can I do about missing Meta Description for category pagest etc.?
 On all my campaigns I'm returning high levels of 'Missing Meta Description Tags'. The problem with fixing this is they're all for category, tag and author pages. Is there a way to add a meta description to these pages (there are hundreds) or will it not really have any ranking effect? Technical SEO | | SiliconBeachTraining0
