How do I get the expanded results in a Google search?

I notice for certain site (ex: mint.com) that when I search, the top result has a very detailed view with options to click to different subsections of the site. However for my site, even though we're consistently the top result for our branded terms, the result is still only a single line item. How do I adjust this?

is the "google sandbox" something we still need to worry about as well? I think I recall google penalizing new domains for a while before allowing them to show up more frequently in search results? Would that also affect these?

It also depends who else has relevant content for your branded term. If there are other remotely related pages from other domains, then I find that it is more difficult to get site links. But if you are the only one with say "eggplant laser cutting" then it is more likely for you to get site links.

We aren't ranking particularly high on a lot of terms yet (relatively new domain), so I'm only looking at extremely branded terms. Sounds like we just need to continue general SEO improvement and then eventually get rewarded with a 6 pack. Thanks again!

If you search for "mail delivery" you will notice US Postal Service as the #1 and 2 results, but they do not have site links. If you search for "electronics store" you will notice Fry's, Circuit City and Amazon.com as the top 3 results and they do not show site links there either. On the one hand your backlinks seem to strongly influence the ability to have site links. On the other hand, the sites mentioned above clearly have very strong link profiles. The query also has a strong effect as well. Notice if you search for "US Postal Service" the first result is listed with Site Links. This demonstrates the same page may or may not offer site links based on the search query.

Thanks! Just seems odd that our branded term (which has consistently ranked #1) doesn't show additional site information. From this article, it might be our "alt" and "anchor" txts on the sub pages... Not quite sure what that means, but maybe our developer will!

You are referring to Sitelinks. Sitelinks are provided based on keyword searches where a given site's structure and content is highly relevant to where Google decides to provide additional exposure for the site. There is not any singular adjustment you can make to gain sitelinks. It is outside of your control. You can strongly increase the likelihood of your site being listed with Sitelinks by improving the quality of your site's architecture along with the quality and quantity of content. Hotel SEO, 3-pack & Search Console: How to get the right data and how to improve CTR?
Hey guys, I've been working with some hotels and I feel like there are some specific issues which need special solutions. Algorithm Updates | | Maggiathor
Maybe some of you also work for hotels and face similar problems. Question 1: Google "forces" 3-packs impressions to OTAs like booking.com via Hotel Ads. You basically have a big blue "book now" button and a small little website button. This ends up basically leading to CTRs below 1% despite a 1-3 Position. Is there any way to improve the organic CTR? Of course we use hotel ads, but they offer bad analytics AND we basically pay for our SEO-Performance. Question 2: Search console doesn't specify wether or not a impression comes from 3-Pack or the rest of the organic results, which basically leads to a average position which says nothing. It's hard to evaluate the performance of meta-titles and texts, because the ctr is also mixed. What would be a better way to get this data or do you think google will change this in some time (new search console doesn't offer this). Question 3: Hotel Rankings are dominated by OTAs, Meta-Searchers and BIg Chains. Has anyone experience in SEO for smaller, family owned Hotels? Any tricks how to get a steady traffic source outside of brand results? Hope there are some travel experts in here 🙂0

Does Google ignores page title suffix?
Hi all, It's a common practice giving the "brand name" or "brand name & primary keyword" as suffix on EVERY page title. Well then it's just we are giving "primary keyword" across all pages and we expect "homepage" to rank better for that "primary keyword". Still Google ranks the pages accordingly? How Google handles it? The default suffix with primary keyword across all pages will be ignored or devalued by Google for ranking certain pages? Or by the ranking of website improves for "primary keyword" just because it has been added to all page titles? Algorithm Updates | | vtmoz0

Remove spam url errors from search console
My site was hacked some time ago. I've since then redesigned it and obviously removed all the injection spam. Now I see in search console that I'm getting hundreds of url errors (from the spam links that no longer work). How do I remove them from the search console. The only option I see is "mark as fixed", but obviously they are not "fixed", rather removed. I've already uploaded a new sitemap and fetched the site, as well as submitted a reconsideration request that has been approved. Algorithm Updates | | rubennunez0

Can I use schema markup for my Trustpilot results?
Hi we have excellent Trustpilot reviews & want to know if we can include these in schema markup in order for the results to show in SERPs? The Trustpilot results show in PPC but not SERPs. A competitor looks to have no Trustpilot or other independent reviews but is showing 5 stars in SERPs, i also cant find any customer reviews on their site, it looks to be just coding that is driving the SERPs view? Their site is goldencharter.co.uk Any thoughts much appreciated Thanks Ash Algorithm Updates | | AshShep11

Why has my homepage been replaced in Google by my Facebook page?
Hi. I was wondering if others have had this happen to them. Lately, I've noticed that on a couple of my sites the homepage no longer appears in the Google SERP. Instead, a Facebook page I've created appears in the position the homepage used to get. My subpages still get listed in Google--just not the homepage. Obviously, I'd prefer that both the homepage and Facebook page appear. Any thoughts on what's going on? Thanks for your help!
