Hi, what can I do to make google think this is an Australian page? http://www.crunchbase.com/company/adserve-digital-signage Link to it from .com.au domains?
Put my address in on the page as Australia? Is there any other ofpage things that could be done? I would like it to rank for "Digital Signage" Thanks

Hi Adam, As Pete says, I think you're likely to face an uphill climb with this one. Building links to the page may help, but you're fighting against a US-centric domain, and a powerful one at that. Just out of interest, what are you trying to get this page to rank for? Hannah

Honestly, it's going to be really tough. Since CrunchBase is a US-based site and has massive cues (like the link profile) indicating that, I'm not sure you can get Google to see that a single profile page is international. You can target a whole sub-directory of your own site, but I've never seen someone to get a single directory listing to be recognized as being from a different international location. I'll run it by an international SEO and see, but I suspect this is an uphill climb. Why are you trying to get a profile page ranking instead of your own site?

Hi Adam, Thanks for coming to Q&A to ask your question. I'm the SEOmoz Local SEO associate, but I'm actually going to ask one of our traditional SEOs to step in with a reply. It looks to me as if you are offering a virtual service, so this is not, per se, a Local SEO question. On a side note, one thing I did notice is that I see no physical Australian address in the footer of your website. That would certainly be a place to start. Please hang in there while I ask some of our other mods to help. Miriam

Drop in Rankings After Removing Links
So I removed some links to a particular homepage for one of the sites we own, this page had A LOT of links pointing to it using exact match anchors. And for the most part the links were coming from low quality pages/content. After removing a good chunk of them I noticed are rankings went down from around 8-9th two weeks ago to 21 as of today. Has anyone else had a problem like this before? I'm thinking about restoring some of these links now to see if I can recover some of that. Any thoughts on doing this? Do links to my website improve all pages?
I'm currently building links to my home page (through directories) and blog pages. However, none of these pages are actually targeted pages for main keywords. In SEO, do links to any webpage of a site contribute to the improved rank of other pages? Link Building | | Gavo0

Does this count as a backlink to my category page?
I am ranking high with a certain category page and I am reading that I need backlinks to that page. It is going to be a challenge to get a backlink to that specific category page but how about this? Category page URL: www.mysite.com/category/name Backlink to this URL: www.mysite.com/category/name/specific-blog-post (EDIT: Apparently these types of links don't exist! I went into the category page and clicked on a blog post and it just gave me the www.mysite.com/blah-blah-blah) Will that count as a backlink to the category page? Right now I am only getting backlinks to these blog posts: www.mysite.com/this-is-a-blog-post Any help appreciated! EDIT: Well I guess now my question is worthless. But if you have any input, it would be appreciated. Link Building | | dealblogger0

		List of High Ranking Directories
Hi, Does anyone have a list of high ranking free or almost free directories that have high search engine rankings and have an opportunity for a link or links for a personal development site in the USA? The directories should have the following qualities: Old Site Age A lot of unique content (or as much as a directory can have) A clean site Plenty of Backlinks going to it Facebook followers (if possible, though this might be stretching it) high search engine rankings I think you get the general idea. I'm looking for directories that are high ranking and in for the long haul. They don't have to be free, but it's best if it's inexpensive. Thanks!
