SEO-impact of mouseover text on header pictures

Hi, what do you reckon of taking away the mouseover effect on the header pictures seen on www.viventura.de/reisen/peru?
We are thinking of eliminating the mouseover text to make User Experience even better but are worrying that our ranking might go down when doing so. Any experiences, any help is highly appreciated!
 Thanks,Benno

I don't have a strong opinion but there was a good article on the topic on Searchengineland

Hi Chris, thanks a lot for your helpful answer! This helped a lot. May I ask, as a followup-question what you think about having slideshows in the header, as seen on http://www.viventura.de/gruppenreisen/t/viyoung?
Besides the fact that here the text keeps annoyingly disappearing on image change (certainly not good): do you have any opinion on pro and cons of image slideshows in header pictures? Thanks again and many greetings from Germany!

Viventura, I'm not a Spanish speaker but I will assume that the text that shows up in the mouseover is highly relevant, informative, and well-written. If so, eliminating that mouseover is likely to have an impact unless you use the text somewhere else on the page (like underneath the header). Currently, the text that shows up in the mouseover is indexed as part of the page content--and it's probably a fairly important part. You could go into one of your lesser important category pages where such flyover text occurs and remove it from the html and test whether there is any change to traffic or rankings (or conversions) before doing it for the entire site.

		# Tag - opacity and SEO impact
 Hello, Technical SEO | | Tiffany_Barn
I have a query animation 'fade-in-up' on my website: tiffanybarnard.com which moves the H1 tag slightly and fades it in from zero opacity to 1. Will this affect the SEO value of the H1 tag?
 Thank you!0

		SEO - New URL structure
Hi, Currently we have the following url structure for all pages, regardless of the hierarchy: domain.co.uk/page, such as domain/blog name. Can you, please confirm the following: 1. What is the benefit of organising the pages as a hierarchy, i.e. domain/features/feature-name or domain/industries/industry-name or domain/blog/blog name etc. 2. This will create too many 301s - what is Google's tolerance of redirects? Is it worth for us changing the url structure or would you only recommend to add breadcrumbs? Many thanks Katarina Technical SEO | | Katarina-Borovska1

Target: blank. Does it make an SEO difference?
I've notice many sites MOZ included no longer use the target: blank attribute. I think that's what it's called. Basically when a link on your site opens a new tab in the browser as opposed to replacing the browser window you are in. Given that MOZ think of everything, I would love to hear opinions on this. Do Abbreviations Hurt SEO Results?
We have certain products that we've abbreviated since it's a bit too long. For example, the word Fair Trade Organic is one of our categories and we abbreviate it to FTO. If I put FTO on our meta tag titles and links instead of the actual word, would that provide a weaker result? Technical SEO | | ckroaster0

		Do rss feeds help seo?
If we put relevant RSS feeds on a site, will it help the SEO value? Years ago, I shied away from RSS feeds because they slowed the site down and I didn't like relying on them. However, the past couple years, the Internet has become better, especially in Alaska. Technical SEO | | manintights280

		#hashtag Anchor text within content
Hi, i have a question about anchor text within my sites content. It 'jumps' to content displayed further down the page via a side navigation at the top. These links don't take you away to any other page, instead take you further down the page to the relavent content. My question is this: I've noticed in the URL that the anchor text - #jumpnavlink is placed at the end of the pages URL like so.. www.mywebsite.com/example-page.php#jumpnavlink Is this creating a problem for duplicate content? Technical SEO | | SeoSheikh
Is it creating a new URL for viewers to use?
Is it ok to have lots of these running throughout my sites content pages? Many thanks for any light that is shed on this one! Cheers
