Why can't anyone check in on my Facebook Page?

Once upon a time, we were able to check in at our office on Facebook. Then, one day, we just...couldn't.
I didn't (at least intentionally) change any settings on the page. I can't seem to even find a setting for this. What happened, and how do I fix it?

Hrm. That's very odd since you changed your business stuff, it's not showing on your page as changed. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what exactly is going on. It looks like to me -- from reading Facebook's dev forums -- that you're not the only one with this problem and that Facebook itself hasn't come out with a solution or answered anyone's questions. I'll poke around some more and keep my eye out, but unfortunately, I'm not really sure how to fix this.

So I'm still seeing your category as "Travel & Transportation" not "Local Business." I've attached a screenshot of where you need to make it a "Local Business" in the categories in settings in order to enable check-in functionality.

In order to have check-ins on Facebook, you must have the category of your page listed as a "local business." Currently, it's set at "Travel & Transportation." I'm not sure how long it takes once you switch it over to get back the check-in ability.

Hmmmm, I'm not aware of an update that we haven't done. We did change our address, but this problem started MONTHS before we moved.

Did you upgrade or not upgrade your page, i believe Facebook went through an update a while back, maybe you missed it? Did you change your address? can you leave the url in here so we can look?

How can I change the Facebook Page shown in the SERP
Hi everyone, got a quick question in regard to our Facebook page and its appearance on the Google SERP. We have individual Facebook pages for every country and language. Unfornately the UK site is ranking in the German SERP rather then our Germany Facebook Site. The UK site is way older and has much more likes which most likely explains why this page is (still) outranking our, fairly new site (couple of months). Is there a way, to push my German Facebook Site in front of the UK Site in Germany? Any advice or tipp is much appreciated. Thanks

Facebook adds a trailing slash to urls?
Hey Guys, we are facing a problem in our www.batuta.com with Facebook shares. Seems like because we choose to set our preferred canonical version urls to end with a trailing slash ( / ), like this one e.g.: www.batuta.com/الوجهات/إسبانيا/ Facebook adds automatically another ( / ) when trying to read the url on first share before its ever indexed in FB. Which makes Facebook think its a bad request! cause then the URL has two // at the end of it. hope this was clear. anyway, so first question: did anybody face this issue before? any solutions? Second, and might be more important: I might be forced to face the option of changing the canonical tags to be a url without a ( / ) if I will have to do this I will enforce a redirect on every url request with an ending trailing slash ( / ) to be redirected to the new canonical version without. will this be enough? how big am I supposed to suffer here? am I facing a long time with double indexed urls? wonder if anybody faced this problem before! How do I track my Facebook page rank?
Hey guys, Probably a newbie question, but I'm wondering if there's a way to track Facebook (or other offsite profiles that I own) pagerank along with my domain? I'm working on a project right now where I noticed we're not on the front page for our search term, but our Facebook page is. It would just be helpful to have that info for a more complete SEO picture. Thanks!
